It's a false dichotomy. Several things are wrong at the same time. - falsely accusing is wrong - not investigating credible accusations is wrong The problem is equal justice. R*pists get penalized heavily as they should. But false accusers need stiffer penalties and of course, sweeping cases under the rug should be penalized heavily too but I sense that doesn't happen as nearly often.

@Rothmus okay so now what can we do when we were raped, but the police do nothing about it? I was SA for 10 years as a child, ages 7-17, by my step dad and police and CPS just kept saying I was lying for attention without doing any investigation or tests.
