Democrats: You have to understand how harmful this is for you. Your foundational claim against the GOP right now is that they are against "process" + "democracy", but that you are their champion. If you throw process out the window for temporary political advantage, you will have no case to make.

Australia's top security partner, the United States, is now illiberal. This poses grave challenges for Australia's security, sovereignty, and democracy. Read my latest for ASPI, with Nathan Attrill and @fryan

Pope Leo XIV was half an hour late for his audience with the Italian Winter Olympic and Paralympic committees because he was meeting with David Alexrod, Obama’s chief strategist, this morning.

A CAMERA analysis by @shaykhatiri has triggered former Obama spokesman @tvietor08. Vietor jumped to the defense of the press, denying that it applies a double standard when it comes to Israel lobbying the U.S. in the foreign policy arena. He claims that it is in fact Israel that benefits from a double standard because “no one calls you Francophobic” for observing that the French pushed Obama to go to war in Libya. We’d humbly ask Vietor to consider Khatiri’s rebuttal: Laser-focused coverage of the role the U.K. and France played in pushing the U.S. to war in Libya is virtually nonexistent compared to the obsessive attention to Israel’s lobbying of President Trump. @NuritBaytch also makes a good point, noting that the rhetoric on Israeli lobbying routinely goes far beyond mere criticism. Referencing @mehdirhasan regularly praising @TuckerCarlson and mentioning Carlson's remarks insinuating Israel had "cast a spell" on Trump and that the spell needed to be lifted to save the world, Baytch asks: "you don't see how this is antisemitic? and different from discourse on France/Libya?" So again, why the double standard? Thanks for reading CAMERA, Tommy!

BREAKING: Democrats projected to seize control of both chambers of Congress this November.

FT has confirmed what we all speculated from the “Draft for Pakistan PM” post. The White House pushed Pakistan into brokering this “ceasefire” as Trump was desperate for an out. Iran had to be dragged to the table, which is why their demands have not changed and why this peace will breakdown as neither want to budge on terms. Trump is trying to negotiate as if he has leverage, and he doesn’t. But his inability to cede points, means we’re not any closer to a resolve.

"The intellectual inconstancy, mercurial moods, and sheer gambling audacity of a single man are supposed to substitute for modern technocracy." Mad King governance doesn't work, argues @SohrabAhmari unherd.com/2026/04/agains…
