@RichardHanania What the Dems are doing in VA is *at least* as bad as what the GOP has done anywhere else. Probably worse, looking at the electorate of VA. It's a naked attempt to secure a permanent D majority in a split state. How is that pro-democracy? What false equivelance is on display?

Amazed by this. You think there has to be some limit to Republicans’ ability to make false equivalencies and fail to understand they’ve lost the moral high ground, but here you have someone actually getting upset about gerrymandering in Virginia!
Sarah Haider 👾@SarahTheHaider

Democrats: You have to understand how harmful this is for you. Your foundational claim against the GOP right now is that they are against "process" + "democracy", but that you are their champion. If you throw process out the window for temporary political advantage, you will have no case to make.

@JonahDispatch @DrewPavlou But for Australia to say the US is illiberal is a bit overstating things isn't it? Drew got arrested in Australia for peacefully protesting the CCP. Isn't that illiberal? Trumps rhetoric sure doesn't help at time I agree but has the US changed all that much?

This literally doesn’t matter at all. Even if the US were a flawed democracy it’s ten billion times better than the alternative which is a totalitarian Han ethno state dictatorship. Also pretty sure we were still allied to the US during WWII when they had Jim Crow. Which is 1000 times worse than ICE deporting people illegally in the US.

Australia's top security partner, the United States, is now illiberal. This poses grave challenges for Australia's security, sovereignty, and democracy. Read my latest for ASPI, with Nathan Attrill and @fryan

@rogersrazorback @washingtonpost you do realize the study’s methodology is faulty and concludes no real causation between vaccine effectiveness and the prevention of hospitalizations or ER visits in what it arbitrarily defines as “healthy individuals”—that’s why it’s being delayed. thought you liked peer review?

@krassenstein @RealCandaceO Told you what…vote for Kamala Harris? 😂 This is where the left loses me. Calling out the party we voted for doesn’t mean your side is “the truth.” Both sides can be wrong. Funny how you don’t hold yours accountable the same way. We’re not the same.

@AuraLeeHarvey @TVietor08 Oh look, an attempt to smear someone as antisemitic for his criticism of Israel’s foreign policy. Thanks for proving Israel’s critics right.

@TVietor08 Nobody is pretending that Israel doesn’t lobby for support! That’s not what gains the charges of antisemitism, and pretending so is sketchy behavior. Why don’t you go work on growing a stupid little mustache or something?

Here's my rebuttal: Netanyahu did push the US to go to war with Iran in extraordinary ways, like meeting with Trump in the SitRoom. In Israel, Netanyahu brags about his ability to "move" Washington. He has pressured multiple presidents to bomb Iran. Pretending otherwise is dumb.
CAMERA@CAMERA4Truth

A CAMERA analysis by @shaykhatiri has triggered former Obama spokesman @tvietor08. Vietor jumped to the defense of the press, denying that it applies a double standard when it comes to Israel lobbying the U.S. in the foreign policy arena. He claims that it is in fact Israel that benefits from a double standard because “no one calls you Francophobic” for observing that the French pushed Obama to go to war in Libya. We’d humbly ask Vietor to consider Khatiri’s rebuttal: Laser-focused coverage of the role the U.K. and France played in pushing the U.S. to war in Libya is virtually nonexistent compared to the obsessive attention to Israel’s lobbying of President Trump. @NuritBaytch also makes a good point, noting that the rhetoric on Israeli lobbying routinely goes far beyond mere criticism. Referencing @mehdirhasan regularly praising @TuckerCarlson and mentioning Carlson's remarks insinuating Israel had "cast a spell" on Trump and that the spell needed to be lifted to save the world, Baytch asks: "you don't see how this is antisemitic? and different from discourse on France/Libya?" So again, why the double standard? Thanks for reading CAMERA, Tommy!

If all the Republicans who are now crying about VA redistricting had actually fought Trump's Texas mid-decade gerrymander, we wouldn't be here. Instead they criticize Dems who are now responding to the GOP efforts, while sitting silently by as TX GOP did its dirty work.

@neeratanden You neglect to mention all the states that have 0 Republican representatives. Democrats have been doing this for years. When Republicans respond in kind (which is also wrong), Democrats decide to disenfranchise 43% of VA voters. Both sides are wrong for doing this.
