Don't listen to the spin coming from Senate Republicans. Democrats got everything they wanted. American voters got screwed.
There was a reason why John Thune scheduled the vote while the nation was asleep - so they could skip town before voters woke up and discovered what they had done.
And here's the real kick in the pants - Republican senators left for yet another vacation without doing anything about the Save America Act.
There's no polite way to say this - but Senate Republicans are sabotaging the midterm elections and President Trump's agenda.

Imagine if someone flew two drones into piers, one in LA, and one in Maryland, and then claimed they disrupted US trade.

Over the weeks of the Iran war the Ukrainian military has been carrying out a systematic campaign targeting Russian oil and gas infrastructure. The attacks have reportedly halted 40% of Russian export capacity which limits Moscow ability to profit from price spikes but also accelerates global economic damage from the Gulf situation. Although Ukraine and Iranian ties are by now hostile these Ukrainian operations are ultimately assisting Iranian war aims and making the U.S.-Israeli campaign against it more time sensitive. The fundamental problem is balancing these multiple objectives which are at cross-purposes.

I’m seeing, yet again, this surge of hatred for the Boomer generation. I’m a late season Boomer, born in 1961; I’ve worked for nearly 50 years, have been in the same profession for 37 years, I’ve routinely worked 45-60 hours a week.

When you consider the flour, butter, yeast, salt, baking soda, all need to have been harvested, mined, churned, and delivered to the mall, then prepared and mixed in a giant dough mixer, carefully twisted, put into an industrial oven, and beautifully baked until the perfect maillard reaction occurs, all by a master pretzel artisan, and you can get it all day long hot and fresh for $7.29 (including a medium drink), I think it’s actually worth way more than that.
It would take a lot longer than an hour for most people to do this.
My pretzels should sell for $25 a piece honestly.
Mall pretzel technology is a modern marvel people should enjoy and revere before it’s too late. Because there will come a day in our lifetimes when mall pretzels shops will too be just another fading memory 🥨😔

The minimum wage in Pennsylvania is $7.25 an hour. A regular Auntie Anne’s soft pretzel at the mall is $7.29. Imagine telling someone an hour of their time is worth less than a pretzel.
