Stuff it, I'm putting up my Christmas tree this weekend. Ja, we're still reeling from our World Cup win and even though there are so many good things happening in my life, this year has been pretty tough. For many of us. I could use a little more joy this year. I think we all could. The year started with me losing a friend. Fuck Cancer. No really, fuck it. Right now, I have people I love, who are in treatment. And I can’t do anything to help them. I hate it. I have spent the year thinking about them and him. I think about him often. He was a good egg. We also lost eggs for a while there, luckily, they are back. But who can afford them, right? The prices for things have gone through the roof. I am not sure how we are all surviving. Hopefully you’re surviving. Hopefully you’re okay. It can feel like there is so much going on. The world is going through so much. We all are. We’re all fighting battles that we just don’t tell people about. You know, cause the first rule of fight club is that we’re not supposed to talk about it. But maybe we should. I did a talk recently at a school and I was asked what my biggest piece of advice was for these young adults taking on the world. Simple. Be kinder than necessary or needed. Understand that every single person is hanging on by a thin, thin thread. Even me. Lead with kindness. Always. I digress. I am putting up my Christmas tree early this year because I bladdy love the festive season. It brings me so much joy. And I could use a little more joy this year. I think we all could. I am going to say it one more time. I hope that you are surviving and I hope that you are okay. And if you’re not, then please reach out to someone you love. Reaching out takes bravery… but only 3 seconds of it! We want you to reach out so that we can find joy together. Also, could someone please help me with some Xmas math… if Christmas is in 52 sleeps, when can I start with my first advent calendar? Yes, there will be 2 of these this year. Christmas has come early in the BrenDrew home. For the joy. Okay. Love you. Bye.

During a house sitting yesterday, the National Assembly passed the very controversial Basic Education Law Ammendment Bill (BELA) The bill was supported by The ANC, EFF, NFP and others. It was rejected by The DA and others. Amongst other things this will guarantee the right of education for illegal foreign nationals. Although not in parliament, the biggest supporter of this bill was Panyaza Lesufi. Tomorrow for electioneering purposes, Lesufi will be acting like he is fighting illegal foreign nationals but behind closed doors he is guaranteeing their of right of education. DON’T BE DECEIVED BY PANYA LESUFI

If we’re being honest, South Africa is the best country in Africa, the only thing that’s holding us back is our government.

Put the blame squarely at the door of the ANC government. Foreigners all over South Africa do as they please in this embarrassingly lawless country. Come 2024, there will be no foreigner who is law unto themselves because the ANC will be gone!!

@KingPriceIns This needs explaining as per first assessment (first pic) and approved but then with engineer report (second pic) then suddenly rejected?? How in a matter of days does the condition go from ‘well maintained to ‘lack of maintenance’??

@KingPriceIns 1/2 Becareful when you take insurance with King Price. They are so dishonest. Had a claim which was approved, asked for the assessors report which I received, the email was later then recalled. Luckily I downloaded the report. Report was highly inaccurate.

Let's protect the children from control over their minds. It takes a minute to vote. The BELA Bill is the first major revision of the post-Apartheid education landscape, and will likely shape that landscape for the next 10 to 15 years. @belabill" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">referendums.co.za/@belabill #VoteNow #Referendum
