@oldfitnessdoc @Farbs @StephenKing There is a good reason to limit what private monies can pay for because they are buying influence. Taxpayer funded projects (essentially meaning congressional projects) are more likely to reflect what voters prefer and they don’t prefer the ballroom.

@StephenKing Not only did he not follow the rules that require approval from the Historical Society but the ballroom is way too big and diminishes the beauty of the WH. Trump’s vision for Washington, DC, is size and lots of gold. He will ruin our Capital if not stopped.

@StephenKing Learn the law. The WH is exempt from review as to design changes. Congress can deny funding, but in this case he isn’t using public money. Again, it’s seems shitty but it is poor laws, written by incompetent congressional placeholders, that screwed the pooch.
