Lost my father, age 98, just this summer. He was understandably proud of being part of Our Greatest Generation. I love that he was honored at his funeral. Dad, thanks for your service. #VeteransDay @USNavy

Don’t usually give TV tips but Netflix doc Miracle:The Boys of 80 is spectacular. As somebody who covered the Boston guys since college can not recommend more strongly. A deep dive into what makes teammates and family forever. @MiracleOC @MERUZIONE @JimCraigUSA

@simonhancock_uk @LouStagner Get another playing partner. Unless, of course, you were actually cheating. Then he should get another partner.

@LouStagner No requirement, but what would you do if your playing partner accused you of moving the ball further than allowed?

@Eddiedrives1975 @LouStagner You don’t get to Lift clean & place” your ball just because it’s dirty, it’s because you are playing in (conditions or tournament style) where preferred lies are needed/allowed. The whole point is the preferred lie, not the cleaning of the ball.

@LouStagner I love this "rule" because I've noticed 90% of the time it's used the ball doesn't need cleaning. Great excuse to create a perfect lie

@JohnStolnis That’s because that’s not the problem. The O-line is numbers 1-5 on the top five list of problems.

I'm sorry, I just don't see how an Eagles offense that has been together forever with star players and the same head coach for five years now can suddenly be done in by an offensive coordinator who, in a different role, has also been with these same players for 5 years.

If you were a Flyers and Bernie Parent fan in the 70s, a pair of Mylec goalie pads were a must for street hockey.

Off of Schwarber’s season, I attempted to rank the 5 best individual Phillies seasons of my life and this is how I ranked it: 5. 2025 Schwarber 4. ‘08 Lidge 3. ‘07 Rollins 2. ‘06 Howard 1. ‘10 Halladay

@LFTimes_sports @jaysonst Also wondering how many games they lost when (any pitcher) went 6 shutout innings to start. As an isolated percentage, that number is a little concerning.

@jaysonst For reference, Jayson, do you have a record for the Phillies when any starter throws 6+ shutout innings during Nola's career? I'm wondering whether the win percentage when it's Nola stands out.

Aaron Nola is such a pivotal figure for the Phillies. Tonight was his 35th start as a Phillie of at least 6 shutout innings. They're 32-3 in those games.

What do you do in this scenario? Playing a new-to-you course and you get paired with 3 regulars. They go to the blue tees, which is 6700+ yards. All 3 guys are clearly older than you and you doubt they can hit it far enough to play from that distance. Also you know you can play that distance but would have more fun from the next box up. The next box up is 6300 yards. Everyone hits their opening tee shot and your suspicions are confirmed. What did I do? I played along at that distance and watched as two of the guys could not reach 1/3 of the par 4s while I hit a lot of 6/7 iron approaches. The USGA Play it Forward initiative is a complete bust!

@MidwestGolfJake @DontCutKids @BendelowThomas Who gives a damn about what they scored? If they enjoyed themselves, didn’t hold anyone up by not being able to make a forced carry, there’s just no reason to claim you (or anyone else) knows what distance they “should” be playing.
