SATURDAY, May 2 could feature an isolated tornado/supercell structure in the Big Bend or Panhandle of Florida. This would be during the morning hours. We have a front approaching and a wave of low pressure along said front. A squall line will be ongoing Saturday morning along the front. Most of the thunderstorms in the squall line will fall behind and end up on the cool side of the front, reducing the severe weather risk. But we believe a wave of low pressure along the front might help one or two supercell structures to evolve in the warm, humid air ahead of the front. That would allow them to potentially become severe. With changing winds with height, especially near the front, any transient supercell structures(s) could rotate. This is a low, but not zero, threat. We'll be tracking in MyRadar.
