Thank you very much @CairoScene for the coverage. The book sub-title is "Identity and Independence (1850-1936)", in other words, the two sides of Egypt's coin. @BloomsburyAcad @ibtauris

@IhabHassane At some point , we need to understand this is not just Zionists in Israel. It’s an attitude shared by Zionist Jews around the world and they use their religion to justify it and cry antisemitism to shield it .

@eu_eeas So glad we have nothing to do with the EU, and we never will. You're a bunch of spineless suicidal freaks and nobody cares about your opinion. Medieval punishment for medieval terrorists = justice. Welcome to the Middle East, motherfuckers.

The approval of the Death Penalty Bill by the Israeli Parliament would be a grave step backward. The EU opposes capital punishment in all cases and under all circumstances. We encourage Israel to abide by its previous principled position. Read more: link.europa.eu/FFYKp3

Unlike #Gaza when it took most western countries over a year to remember international law; in the case of #Iran, when their economies were impacted because of oil, it took them only one week to remember the LAW … But like Gaza, these remain hollow statements not followed by any concrete action to stop the war… Pathetic…

I've encountered multiple diasporas over the years. Members of such diasporas tend to be critical of their home government and its leaders. That is, after all, why many have chosen or been forced into a life of exile. Hatred - even irrational hatred - of such leaders is not particularly unusual. That said, I have never encountered a diaspora as extreme as certain sectors of the Iranian diaspora. These are people who fully understand that the agenda of the foreign powers they support is not only to overthrow their leaders but also to destroy their country. Nevertheless, they offer these foreign powers their unconditional support, openly celebrate the war of destruction being waged against their country and society, and viciously denounce and demonize compatriots who oppose said destruction in the most vile terms. I've never seen anything quite like it.

Today parents in Iran buried 165 children killed in the attack on a girls’ primary school by the United States and Israel. From Gaza to Iran, this is what “liberation” by the West looks like.

Did you know that Iran has a Metro station dedicated to the Holy Mary? Why is there a station dedicated to the Holy Mary in Iran, but no such station in London, New York, Paris, or Rome?

NEW from @nytimes: The definitive story of how Trump took an almost inevitable path to a new US war in the Middle East: Netanyahu repeatedly urged him to attack Iran with Israel, and no aides voiced opposition. Netanyahu also undermined diplomacy. Regime change became the goal.
