@ericwallerstein What's the problem with the opinion piece? LastvI remember there's free speech in the US. And what he mentions actually makes sense. Instead of attacking the person, maybe make an actual counter-argument that can prove him wrong?
@padwick_james@TradersConf Probably a guy who is selling mentorship according to some of these comments. If he truly was a multimillionaire from trading alone, he wouldn't need to run mentorships.
I'm actually a multi million a year trader but I post my strategy followed by statements like 'why do I keep losing? ' and watch how many try to tell me my strategy is terrible or not doing it right and I just laugh at the responses knowing how dumb they would feel if I showed my success with it.
@MeatScalper@TraderMoazzam@TradersConf Journaling includes logging trades, hence why data was mentioned. Every other field tracks data, even sports, data on player goals, types of goals, frequency, avg, shooting rate, etc.
@TraderMoazzam@TradersConf The same way you do in any other field. Through experience and paying attention. A written journal isn't even that useful for finding any trends since it's high friction to review. How many journals entries do you need to read to find a trend? Just log and export trades for analy
Been trading for 7 years. I’m very profitable and average 3-6x my monthly expenses in trading income each month. And I’ve never journaled trades or backtested. I feel like they don’t really help you at all.
@TradersConf There are trade copiers like Tradeconnect. Most prop firms have no issues copying between accounts you are funded with or own as long as you can prove you are the same trader trading said accounts.
I have three funded accounts—two of them are already fully funded—but I’m a bit unsure about how to manage all three at the same time. I’d really appreciate some solid advice.
@TradersConf Dogs can sense stress in humans in literally every scenario. It's been well documented, it's also why they are used as emotional support pets.
I swear my dog has a 6th sense for trading. He sits beside me when I trade. Whenever I’m getting annoyed / revenge trading my dog starts to bark at me. Idk how since I’m not saying anything out loud, it’s like he senses my energy shift or something. Anyway I’ve made it part of my trading routine to stop trading when my dog starts barking at me, and my results have improved a lot since I’ve started doing this.
@vwapx@TradersConf You literally just scroll right on the chart and log trades. You can do 20-30 trades backtested in an hour manually. Literally forward testing but you just do it for previous days TV has a chart replay feature that allows you to look back chart even decades in past. Saves time.
@TradersConf Never backtested a day in my life. Wouldn’t even know how to do it. Forward testing in live markets gives you the experience you need, learn the lessons the hard way, etc. But some like to and they do well, so I’m not hating. Just saying I personally don’t believe it’s necessary.
I backtested my strategy over 800 trades. Win rate: 61%. It's been printing live for 12 months. The amount of traders who don't backtest and wonder why they fail is insane to me.
@TradersConf This is why I despise tradefluencers who say "trading nets you more than investing". Misguided statement. You need security aka investments.
My friend was making $20-40k/month from prop firms and was growing his personal account too. Never invested in any stocks, crypto - everything just went into his trading account. I don’t know why but he’s been consistently losing for the last 1.5 years and has lost pretty much everything because of it. Just a reminder to diversify your money.
People who come on to @X every day just to attack others by name aren’t proving anything about the people they’re trolling. They’re just revealing their own insecurities. Not the kind of friend you want and definitely not the kind of boss you want. Best to keep your distance.
I accidentally left my trading screen open during a work Zoom call. My team saw a trade hit TP for +$3,200 while I was presenting. Nobody spoke but the chat exploded. Still have my job somehow. But I think my manager knows.
I’m 21 years old. I make good money on trading but nobody knows my sauce . My parents thinks I’m a drug dealer and my friends distanced themselves from me because they’re not on what I’m doing.
Sold my girlfriend’s dog for 2 prop accounts and bought him back 2 weeks later after the payout hit. She thought he ran away lmaooo
God bless topstep though
@TradersConf Ur friends are living a "happier" life coz they havent actually lived life in the real world aka getting a job n working full-time to pay bills. They've only got a few years until reality hits them, then they probably won't be happy for the rest of their lives. U not missing out
I’m 23, made $220k profit from prop firms last year, but I regret starting trading. I spent the “best years of my life” locked in my room trying to make trading work. Now that I’m profitable I realised that I’m making money but don’t have any good relationships. My old friends who went to college have big social groups, a gf, etc. It seems like they’re living a happier life than me.
@TradersConf The priority should be learn how to invest. You have the time and money to do so as a trader. Allocate earnings to investments and savings. Not so much prioritize on buying more challenges, that's below savings and investments in terms of importance. It doesn't give you security
I was doing $5-20k/month with prop firms last year. But I spent all my money on dumb stuff. Went on a losing streak at the start of this year now I only have $3k left and no prop firm funding. Learn from my mistake and always save some of your payouts and buy more challenges. I was dumb to do what I did but I promised myself that I’ll learn from this experience.
So it’s looking highly likely that Israel were responsible for the attack on the British military base in Cyprus
Classic false flag attack by Israel & blame Iran to drag Western Nations into the war.
Similar attack happened on Saudi Oil facility
Israel is our enemy not Iran
@TradersConf This is why I hate it when traders say you will make more money trading than investing so there's a no need for investments. Funny thing is that they are also part of paid trading groups (a well known one) so they have another source of income.
Been trading for 6 years, been profitable past two many of my months are 5 figures +, have traveled the world staying in 5 star hotels and buying designer clothes even started 2026 very strongly 5 figures + January, and in the span of two weeks of drawdown I recklessly spent all my money mostly on evals and vacations. Save your money, build that portfolio now. Had to get a j*b, started working after two years this is so embarrassing have to build up from O again. I'll run it back though.
@TradersConf Test also reduces people's lifespan significantly, promotes physiological dependency, eventually becomining a lifelong need especially if you are doing doses not recommended by medical professionals, and especially if it isn't recommended to you according to your health needs.
