More funding for Dementia research is a must. We need a voluntary organisation set up in hospitals to help care specifically for dementia patients. We know they exist but hospitals need more help. Some patients needed help with basic cleanliness care. These are basic needs to give people dignity on a ward. One patient was still in the same clothing from the previous day and the smell of urine was awful. Imagine this being your own family or even yourself in years to come. This is not a third world country.

Funny how if in the UK you choose not to have Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney +, Discovery plus etc, that they fully understand that in a democracy, and as a paying consumer, you have choice and therefore accept that you may choose alternative services to theirs, so they leave you alone. Unlike the BBC. Who often, through TV Licensing, send very intimidating letters and threaten “Enforcement Teams” to visit a property “Under Investigation” despite the fact that there is no legal requirement whatsoever to notify them if you don’t need a TV Licence and genuinely aren’t using any of the services which would mean you need to pay. Funny old world!

UK FARMING It is very important for food security within the UK, and globally, for different sources of food to be explored. Every year I investigate & study something new so that over the following 12 months I hopefully understand more about that subject than I did when I started. This year I have decided to look closely at food security. This video is very interesting so thank you @BeanMealsUK for posting. Plant based diets clearly have a huge part to play in making sure human beings have enough food to eat. Although people associate famine with war, that is not the only cause. Government policy also has a part to play, especially in a world where war is always on the agenda. It is essential that the current UK government starts to support British farming immediately because, given the huge amounts of unnecessary imports, and the fact that the UK government does not keep a central emergency stockpile of most food. Starvation is a frightening word and given that over 90% of land in the UK has nothing built on it at all, no buildings, railways, or roads, so is one we need never face. 70% is agricultural land, 13% woodland, 10% is mountains, moorland, heaths, wetlands, lakes and other natural land. It isn’t a lack of land or expertise that puts us at risk of severe food shortages, it is poor government policy.

The 75-year-old California vineyard owner had reportedly paid around $40,000 to stalk a Yellow-Backed Duiker, a shy forest antelope, through Gabon’s Lope-Okanda rainforest. But the animals he ran into weren’t the ones he’d come for. Dosio wasn’t new to trophy hunting. He’d hunted Lions, Rhinos, Hippos, Crocodiles, and Elephants across Africa and the US, and his California home reportedly held dozens of mounted heads from decades of paid hunts. This trip was supposed to add another rare animal to that history. But when his guide led him deeper through the trees, they crossed paths with five female Elephants guarding a calf. Then the herd charged. Dosio was fatally trampled, while his guide was left seriously injured. The shotgun Dosio had been carrying was lost in the chaos, and reports say he’d only been issued it because Gabonese law barred him from bringing his own rifle. Forest Elephants are endangered. The problem with career politicians is they don’t live in the real world. They assume that people are interested in them & their own, individual, or collective political ambitions. They are not! What people want to see are opportunities to live their lives in peace & prosperity, where free speech exists as a right, rather than only existing if the person saying it agrees with their particular idealogical bias. @toadmeister

Andy seems to think people “want politics to be done differently”. People couldn’t care less about politics or devolution. They want more money in their pocket, low energy and fuel prices, strong borders and low immigration. What’s Andy doing about those?

A man sucked on a vape and smiled after being allowed to walk free from court after punching and kicking a helpless dog to death. LUKE WALKER, of OXTON ROAD in Road in BIRKENHEAD, pleaded guilty to two offences under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and the defendant also admitted a further charge of criminal damage relating to the dog. Why is the @RSPCA_official person laughing and joking with him?!? 😡

I have been warning for over 20 years that unless the UK starts to increase its homegrown food production, support farming, and stockpile, we could face massive food shortages. Unless government policy changes it could become critical. Starvation is not impossible #Farming #UK
