As Alfie checks for fish I am reminded that around a 1/3 of the world’s pop goes hungry at some point every 24 hours. Unless the Strait of Hormuz is unblocked we will see that number increase. If more desalination plants are hit people will go short of life sustaining water too.

Now that’s what I call a PROPER jail sentence for animal abuse!! 👏 👏 Vincent Lemark Burrell of Paulding County, Georgia, was sentenced to 475 years in prison in 2025 for running an extensive Dog fighting operation and committing animal cruelty. The case began in November 2022 after an Amazon delivery driver noticed over 100 abused pit Bulls in poor condition on the property and reported it to authorities. He was convicted on 103 charges, including dog fighting and animal cruelty. Many of the dogs were chained with no food or water and showed signs of neglect. Police also found dog fighting tools, drugs, and a live bait. Well done that Amazon delivery man 👍.
