The problem is that's irrelevant, people on the left and right disagree vehemently about policy, so if my political candidate does something wrong, it's unlikely for me to change my policy (especially when the other side has exactly the same problem). So discuss policies logically and you will have a chance at convincing people.

There are more Black men under correctional control in the United States today, in prison, on parole, on probation, than were enslaved in 1850. Read that again. Before the Civil War. Before emancipation. Before the auction block and the whip had disappeared from American life. There were fewer Black men under the total control of the American legal system then than there are now. This is the country that sends annual human rights reports to the UN. This is the country that imposes sanctions on other nations for their treatment of minority populations. This is the country that has the word "liberty" on its currency. The audacity is not even hidden anymore. It stopped needing to hide.

Let me show you what "cultural" erases. 1934: Federal Housing Administration introduces redlining. Black neighborhoods systematically denied mortgage access for three decades. 1944: GI Bill passes. Administered in ways that systematically exclude Black veterans from the same benefits white veterans received. 1968: Fair Housing Act passes. By this point, the wealth gap produced by thirty years of exclusion is structural and self-perpetuating. 1971: Nixon declares War on Drugs. His own policy chief later admits on record it was designed to target Black communities. 1986: Crack sentenced 100 times more harshly than powder cocaine. Same drug. Different community. Different sentence. 2026: The neighborhood built by these policies is still poor. You look at the neighborhood and say: culture. I look at the list and say: policy. One of us is reading the history.

The reason for everything you see now is the normalization of mind-altering drugs. If something messes with your mind, you would bypass logic too. All anxiety medication definitely qualifies, since anxiety comes from the brain. It continues because there is a lot of money to be made here, and US is a richer customer base to take advantage of. So if you want a logical conversation, you need to somehow find out if the other person is on medication. If they are, avoid.

Do you know why there are no lawsuits? Because nobody apprehended is innocent. Also, they don't go to random neighborhoods to "terrorize people". If a criminal is running from authorities and you help the criminal (in this case 100% not even knowing the crime but assuming the best, because of empathy), you are now an accessory. If you think they didn't do anything, help them in court. Everyone gets due process, regardless the lies you hear in the media.
