@cabsav456 Praying the people of KY can see through this, that they are being manipulated. If it were me, I’d vote Massie just out of spite, to show them their money won’t control me. Add in Massie’s outstanding voting record on top of that, and he should be a lock. DON’T TREAD ON ME!

In case people aren't fully grasping the absurdity of this: The typical House primary spends $100k–$500k total (candidates + outside groups) for the entire race. Many safe-district incumbents spend almost nothing in the primary. This one? $35 million+ total spending. It's by far the most expensive U.S. House primary in history. Prior record? ~$25.4M for NY-16 in 2024 (Bowman vs. Latimer, Democratic primary). Before that? ~$17.9–19.4M for MO-1 in 2024 (Bush vs. Bell, another Democratic primary). Look into these three races and see where that money came from & why. This is a coordinated effort — and it was successful twice already. We'll see if it's successful a third time.
Lauren@cabsav456

The Thomas Massie primary is truly insane. We are looking at the most expensive U.S. House primary in history, with spending pushing toward $35 million. Massie's opponent, Ed Gallrein, has raised just $2 million on his own. The rest of the money, over $14 million, is coming from outside Super PACs who desperately want Massie gone. On top of that, Pete Hegseth is being deployed to Kentucky to campaign against him. Stephen Miller & Con Inc. have been on massive Twitter tirades attacking him. And there was a highly coordinated smear campaign of unfounded allegations launched this week by Con Inc. influencers. When the establishment is willing to spend $35M+ and go to these lengths to take one man down, it really makes you wonder why. Whether you like Massie or not, this election will determine whether or not we as voters actually have a voice anymore. If outside special-interest money can successfully buy a seat and sway an election like this, we have a serious, serious problem.

@ChrisCillizza Which is a testament to why we need term limits on Congress. If you only start voting your conscience and telling the truth when you know you can’t hold the job forever, something’s wrong.

Bill Cassidy will now be a free radical in his final months in the Senate. I suspect he goes the Thom Tillis route and becomes a thorn in Trump’s side.

@financedystop “16% goes to the staff on top of their base wage.” So just add this in to their wage and raise your prices already. We just saw this nonsense on a trip to Colorado. WTF?

Everything feels like a scam now. Restaurants adding mandatory service charges that “aren’t the tip,” stores asking you to round up for "charity" at checkout, iPads asking for 25% tips on takeout orders… people are getting exhausted by the constant nickel-and-diming

@GovernorVA “Casting their ballots in good faith” … But did they really know what they were voting for??? The Supreme Court didn’t strike down your plan to redistrict. They pushed back against the wording you used on the ballot, which was intentionally misleading and misrepresentative.

The Supreme Court of the United States has now joined the Supreme Court of Virginia in choosing to nullify an election and the votes of more than three million Virginians. These Virginians made their voices heard — casting their ballots in good faith to push back against a President who said he’s “entitled” to more seats in Congress before voters go to the polls. As Governor, I will make sure voters know when and how to cast their votes this year. Because our votes are how we choose the representation we deserve.

@kurt13warner Yeah, but things like international game and/or bye scheduling can be a massive advantage to some teams. I’m a Vikings fan; we always seem to get a bye early in the season, when it doesn’t help as much as the late-season byes when more players need the rest.

Fans getting hung up on strength of schedule continues to be crazy to me, as if the league is punishing them… we do all know that every opponent is predetermined by calendar year (which divisions they play) & where they finished in their diversion the year before, correct? Is it mostly bc of when they play these teams? Even though you have to play them all sometime & we have no idea today when will be the best time to play them: who’s playing well, when? Who’s healthy & injured? What the weather will be? I’m just flat out excited to watch it all, I love this game!

@TimHannan That’s not it at all, and you know it. They struck it down because the way it was worded on the ballot was completely misleading as to what people were voting for. Tricking people into voting for something they may not actually want is BS, and you know that.

@SenThomTillis Your argument is completely flawed. Our force structure isn’t set based upon “this is a really good guy/gal; we need to create a position for them.” Force structure is set based upon the skills needed to effectively run that unit.

The careless decision to reduce our force posture in Europe, along with moves by Pete Hegseth and his political henchmen to force out some of our finest general officers is amateur hour at best and deadly at worst. Hegseth continues to surprise and disrespect our greatest allies and some of our best military professionals with impulsive decisions not grounded in reality or good judgment. If the rumors are true that Hegseth is trying to sideline General Chris Donahue, one of our nation’s finest warfighters, by downgrading U.S. Army Europe-Africa to a 3-star command, he is taking another step down a dangerous path. A step that is not in the best interests of our nation or our servicemembers. General Donahue has dedicated his entire career to upholding the high standards and warrior ethos that Hegseth claims he is restoring to our ranks. Gen. Donahue has led Soldiers at all levels in Airborne (including Ft. Bragg’s 82nd) and Mechanized units, the 75th Ranger Regiment, and our most prestigious special operation units. He deployed over 20 times in support of Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, New Dawn, Inherent Resolve, Atlantic Resolve, Freedom’s Sentinel, European Assure, Deter and Reinforce, and in support of the Sudan crisis. Hegseth would do well to surround himself with more patriots like General Donahue and to get his henchmen, who are not qualified to carry Donahue's bag, out of the Pentagon. Keep your word, Mr. Secretary: choose meritocracy over your mediocre yes-men. notus.org/defense/pentag…

Just a friendly warning. We don’t even make $200k per year in Congress despite working nearly 140 days. If we aren’t properly compensated, a lot of us will go to the private sector and you will be left with some real idiots in Congress.

For 20 years, a $6 knob that takes one hour to 3D print has been grounding Black Hawk helicopters four times a month, and the contractor responsible won't sell us the part or the IP rights to fix it ourselves. So instead, American taxpayers have been paying $40,000 every single time to replace the entire system, multiplied by four times a month, for two decades. That is NOT a procurement problem, that is a shakedown, and it is exactly why right to repair has to be in this year's NDAA.

I took an oath as an officer in the United States Air Force to serve my Commander in Chief. My allegiance to that oath has not wavered in my 28 years of service. The President has endorsed another candidate in CD1 for Congress. It is not congruent with my assignments in life to actively campaign against a candidate endorsed by my Commander in Chief. I am grateful President Trump called and spoke with me personally. He was complimentary of my service to this nation and discussed other opportunities to serve within the administration. Today, I will continue serving this great nation in uniform as a commander in the Oklahoma Air National Guard and serving as the founder and CEO of Folds of Honor. To every volunteer, donor, and patriot who stood with this campaign, thank you. A special thank you to the veterans that supported and encouraged me. Your belief in this mission meant everything. Service never stops, and neither will we.
