Moments like this look playful, but they’re doing quiet work. Public robots don’t earn trust through specs. They earn it through familiarity. Seeing a robot move calmly through a city, even in a costume, helps normalize the idea that machines belong in shared spaces. That’s a harder problem than locomotion. What I find interesting about @openmind_agi approach is that these moments sit on top of serious infrastructure. Social acceptance only works if the system underneath is stable, predictable, and safe. Without that, novelty turns into backlash fast.
