There needs to be spaces to be. Parks, sidewalk benches and other public commons
Coffee shops, pubs also use to help this void but now they want you to buy and leave. Malls are in decline and reduced hours.
Libraries barely have books and the tables have people working on headphones. Very unsocial

The decline of public places is hard to stomach. Even nice and "exclusive" places have been permeated by poor etiquette. Parks are homeless encampments. Airports are a Star Wars cantina, every business feels exploitative. Where did the well-adjusted population go?

the rapid rise of "private members clubs" in new york is a useful phenomena to watch. these clubs aren't "private" in any real sense, they simply exist to enforce norms (don't overhear people, don't photograph people, no fighting) that were enforced societally but are no longer

How to launch a call-in talk show on X Spaces: taking call-ins on news and daily life plus random stories from average Joes and Janes across the country like saw a ghost, got a ticket, found the best pancake in the middle of nowhere etc.
I’m hosting one tonight at 9:30 pm. People say they miss Art Bell-style radio. That’s what I want to recreate-ish.
But there’s so much noise—how do you make the jump? Most Spaces I’ve tried have had no listeners.
Is it ads? Star guests? What’s the technique to break out?

For clicks. I dunno, that's why I didn't retweet it though, but I did find it interesting. He identified them, found their professional pics, and doxxed the shit out of them.
When caught the male partner tried to push him away and acted like a dick too, so that probably didn't help where this went.
I am completely biased too about dating people in the work place btw. I can't stand it.

Just watched a video where a guy doxxed two people making out on a park bench in Central Park and it turns out the girl was an Associate at Wachtell and the guy was a Partner at Wachtell, same practice section, litigation, and that's exactly the type of behavior I'd expect from some male big law dork attorney. She apparently has a bf.
I'd feel bad if he's a nice Litigation OC but I found it hilarious thinking that he's likely a little shit head. I think my advice would be for lawyers to get laid more before going to law school, or during, or something like that.

Seth @WatchSethBuild didn't plan on becoming a full-time reseller.
He started flipping tools at 14 just to afford a pair of Jordans.
After a 25-year career in the agricultural industry, he returned to reselling through liquidation pallets.
When he was unexpectedly laid off, he and his wife made the decision to go all in on reselling.

A lot of new jails don’t have outdoor space, literally concrete towers and commonly staffed by the news deputies, not correctional specialists, which brings a world of costly litigation.
People don’t like funding CDCR—California prisons, even other parole attorneys when I did that. But that funding would include programs, the ones we wanted our clients to complete so they had a chance at parole.
California also has unique challenges as the fastest-growing prison population is over 50. This brings many issues, from old people fighting with canes yes, it absolutely happens to only having one hospice at CMF Vacaville, and litigation over complex medical care.
I used to have clients who went on a weekly two-hour trip to see a specialist.
Jobs in prisons are great, and my clients loved working and learning skills. They also did well with prison dog training and education. I had a former gang leader become a historian after taking all the history courses he could. These things over time made them releasable to parole. But this takes funding to provide.
Of course some never change, and I had clients in their 70s and 80s who wanted to fight the system or cast blame when all the parole board wanted was some attempt at reforming and accepting responsibility.
CDCR needs new prisons and funding for programs. It’s just reality. The alternative is the state paying in litigation because the facilities are crumbling or releasing people who have not done programming to reform.
Of course we just hear no prison funding, not for conditions, programs or if we just funded schools we wouldn’t need prisons. It’s not reality, the system will crack and has in many ways. The State keeps pushing inmates to local prisons run by counties who don’t have the funding or capacity to house, leading to over crowding release often of people it was surprising they would choose to release, not average guy but usually crazy guy.

American prisons are a horror show. I've long held the position that more people belong in jail, but that the current conditions are too inhumane. (The left is right in that regard.) Should improve them and double the population. Right wing and left wing fusion solves this.

Not every hobby needs to become a business.
Not every moment needs to become content.
Not every conversation needs to become a networking opportunity.
It’s okay to do things simply because they make you happy.
That’s part of building a successful life too.

The podcasters interview the remote viewers often, but when can we get the medical intuitives interviewed in the circuit? Consistent, documented medial diagnostics just looking at someone or hearing their voice over the phone. Can you imagine? A psychic MRI person. Talk to them!

What struck me watching this video is that a reason why it might be rare to be a great litigator is that it requires multiple personality traits that probably aren’t commonly connected in many people.
Gotta be intelligent. That’s a given in this field. I’m thinking this lawyer has got that more than covered. But then you’ve also got to have the trait of someone who is entirely comfortable dealing with people like this who sort of bring aggression because they believe that doing so will give them the upper hand. People who are going to bang the table (metaphorically). Tell you to sit down as if you’re their employee or something.
The lawyer here didn’t seem to me as comfortable with that, though I can’t criticize how he handled himself. But, he seemed out of his element in that respect.
But, yeah. If you’ve got both those, you’re probably in a good spot.
