An update on where things stand: What happened On July 15, Ostium’s LP (liquidity provider) vault was exploited for 23,752,746 USDC. Based on our ongoing investigation, the attacker compromised off-chain infrastructure related to the system that feeds prices into the protocol. The attacker then submitted illegitimate price reports that were manipulated to appear as valid, opening and instantly closing a series of large positions to extract an artificial profit from the vault. By design, trader collateral sits in a separate, isolated contract and is not affected, with all positions remaining open. Our response We are working with Mandiant, zeroShadow, Collisionless, and SEAL 911, alongside law enforcement, and coordinating with exchanges, bridges, and stablecoin issuers. Within 60 minutes of the first exploit transaction, we coordinated to pause trading and freeze all trading contracts. Currently, all of our engineering efforts are focused on isolating and hardening the infrastructure needed to enable a secure re-launch. What is next Impacted liquidity providers and the safe resumption of trading remain our top priority, and we are working around the clock towards the path forward. As a reminder, we will give at least 24 hours notice before trading contracts are unfrozen. Upon re-open, trader positions will be marked to the price at re-open, independent of interim price movements. Please trust only official channels. Plasma One having a breakout here on their card volume. $795K in spend yesterday, nearly double their previous high. Very clear bullish trend for their neobank product and as an investor all we'd want to see is a renewed focus on as a beneficiary of this growth. Its so early in this product life-cycle that you can think of it as a pure growth play with revenue and token economics to be developed as economies of scale kick in. The bull case is billions of spend per month on Plasma One, small fees redirected into XPL buybacks or dividends to share holders. Trillions?

Tbh what's the point of Dublin 🇮🇪 As a junior engineer: 1. Get a big tech offer from one of higher paying companies (i.e. Meta) 2. Get an offer towards top of the pay band (i.e. ~140k) 3. 43% in taxes (ridiculous) 4. Be frugal and spend 40k a year 5. Save 40k a year Do half these hoops, just get a job in any big tech in Warsaw, live like a king, have fun, save 20-30k a year. Much better 🇵🇱 But, given the huge amount of high-paying jobs in Dublin (1'700 on EuroTopTech . com), maybe one of the easier place to land a top role (not sure if easier than Warsaw though, maybe not).

Her remit includes tokenized deposits, stablecoins, digital collateral mobility, crypto settlement, and custody. The bank also named Kevin Milsom to lead AI transformation across its global markets business.

The stablecoin boom is a force multiplier for the US dollar and economy. Stablecoins give the world easier access to dollars. Tokenized T-bills and equities bring US markets to anyone with an internet connection. Onchain finance is scaling American financial power globally

On-ramps will be killed within the next year. They will be replaced by unified deposit solutions. This is already happening. Polymarket now does 8x more fiat payments with unified deposits than they did via on-ramp aggregation.

@codyschneider It’s usually more complicated than that. I’ve been running paid ads for about 8y and in SaaS, the goal is typically for the first month of subscription revenue to cover the acquisition cost. So if a product costs around $40/month, you’d generally expect a CAC of around $30–40.

I think it’s mainly about friends and family. If you actually want to spend quality time with them and have meaningful conversations—not just “How are you?” or small talk, but real catch-ups—and you wanted to do that with most of your friends and family, it would probably take 20–30 hours a week. But honestly, I think that’s a good thing. If they have some free time while walking from point A to point B or driving somewhere, why not use that time to have a proper conversation?
