Tucked away in Gullane’s main street, a small, white vintage sign rocks gently in the breeze above a distinctive wooden door. The large window seems to unearth an Aladdin’s Cave of antiquity that is spilling out from the inside of the shop. All types of mashies, niblicks, putters, drivers and persimmons purposefully laid out to catch the eye of passing golfers. Been flagged to @CalMacFerries @CalMac_Updates on multiple occasions and I believe it is an issue across the network that they just never sort! Should be an easy fix to say here are the sailings, please contact the local office to book but no, just keep everyone in the dark!

@CalMac_Updates it’s 4:20pm on Wednesday and you haven’t yet deigned to tell us what ferries you plan on running to mull from Thursday-Sunday. On the app it looks like there aren’t any. Whatever boats you have, put the sailings up, otherwise it looks like the whole place is shut.

Argh. A clean, clear and surgical decision on this would have seen it blow up, and blow over in a couple of weeks. The absolute refusal to do so will rightly haunt Gray, Swinney and the wider SNP right up to the election. This is really basic stuff.

The turbines are exactly twice the height of the HQ of Iberdrola in Bilbao who are building #MachairWind and that is the tallest building in the whole of the Basque Country.
