@PandaKingEX @LocalBtnMasher Did you guys ever play SoR1? Its not amazing or anything but it has a trivial infinite. Jab, wait, jab. And despite having it, does not solve the game. Because there is a group of enemies running around trying to flank you. Something to keep in mind about bmups

@LocalBtnMasher Generally the problem in older games is that the stuff wasn’t intentional, so the balance simply collapsed on itself when gamers learned what frame data is lol. Modern games at the very least know it’s possible so they can try to account for that in the overall design & balance.

Beat em ups were the first games with cheesy combo systems and the combo systems that modern beat em ups have are just absolutely ridiculous.

@DintheAbary Exactly. They won't play an old school beat em up because they don't want to get over that hurdle of getting their ass kicked, so they'd rather either play dark souls and pretend like they are god gamers, or play CAGs and bully on weaklings.

@AstheniaCraft its super duper clear that you have a completely different view and understanding of action games than Mark. But instead of acknowledging that, you assume he must be lying, because no one can be "that stupid" aka have a view that different. That's what it looks like from here

Ceigar's video is a good takedown of just one of many suspect videos by him.
As I said before, half of the time he makes good points that aren't new, the other half he makes the dumbest points imaginable.

There's no rule saying that the experiences you play on PlayStation or Steam have to be "games". Animal Well and Elden Ring aren't "games" either. If you like Mixtape as an interactive text, then it's succeeding at being what it is.

Went and got a Hardest dips clear in the arcade version of Hyper Duel. Not so sure what the differences are. Lol Maybe some bosses have a little more health? Maybe more popcorn bullets? Faster rank increase?

I find it extremely hard to believe someone will complain about the soft lock while ignoring that you can move the analog stick towards the enemies like in countless other games of the subgenre. After he even mentions it for other games earlier in the review.

@AstheniaCraft Is Mark a liar because you think he's wrong? Because Ceigar misinterpreted a point Mark made and took it as "you always have meter haha!" I will always push back on that. Some of you guys are quick to call people disingenuous when you should just stick to calling them dumb.

Real question, why do new Fighting games even need to release? From my perception there seems to be like +15 good ones, cant all the players go there forever?
This is what people do in every other PVP genre mostly, Counter strike has like 3 releases in 25 years

@AndMelee @SaltSudoku @LocalBtnMasher my experience with the FGC is that its built on a content/hype cycle. I don't think its needed, but it currently is. The next big thing will be shown after GF so make sure to tune in. Tournaments will be most plentiful and populated when a game is new. That kind of thing

@LocalBtnMasher When a new one comes out, there is a period of time when all the players are in an arms race to figure out the game. It never happens again in the games life. I think a lot of people crave that experience. Its also common for new players to wait for a new release before starting
