Yet this week a 12 year old girl needed the court’s permission to seek a surgical abortion while nine weeks pregnant. To gain approval, she had to be assessed by a psychologist, give evidence to the court, and meet with an obstetrician and gynaecologist - all while 'missing out on school' due to pregnancy symptoms. The girl’s request was eventually approved, but why must any child need permission from the court to access essential healthcare? @hell_line0
