I drafted a couple sweet Izzet decks yesterday! First deck was pip central in TLA and went 3-0 6-0. Second deck was Memnarch midrange in chaos draft and went 2-1. Big thanks to @MeatMTG for the raid! Appreciate the MTGO camaraderie 🤝

My best color combo was Jeskai (Raka) at 14-1, closely followed by Mardu (Dega) at 14-4. Of my 13 trophies, only 2 were nonwhite and only 1 was nonred! Finally, here’s a typical base-RW trophy deck à la @mtg_ds—just slot in the 5 blue cards or the 5 black cards! (5/5)

This week, I tied for the OTJ trophy lead with a 77% win rate (the same % as my trophy leads in AER and RIX), but my win rate in IPA was 3% higher and I had more than twice the sample size! Let’s review my IPA trophy decks and color stats! (The quoted deck is trophy #6.) (1/5)

We haven't seen a Battle since MOM and there are none in Foundations. I wonder if that means anything for this card type.

@Intrepid_Tautog Definitely feels like there’s less interaction to start (a product of more or less starting over follower-wise), but it/its users have a much nicer vibe imo! And fwiw, I’d enjoy seeing your posts over there :)

@FiniteMTG @rcondon_ It’s not about those cards being good. It’s about having a generic rate of creatures (including filler like above) that leads to combat generally being more dynamic with respect to trades and minimizing likelihood of board stalls.

Okay actually Foundations is the GOAT limited set because every common creature is a barely playable 4-mana 3/4

@FiniteMTG I voted b) because Pride, while probably a power-outlier, asks something of you and is a neat build around. Everyone having 1-Drops and 1-drop interaction by definition really changes the play pattern. Guide of lost souls asks very little and is very strong.
