@Scaramucci Disagree. I think we want someone who is honest and incorruptible, speaks intelligently, solves pertinent problems and plays well with others to execute/govern well. We would prefer only occasional communication and not via social media. A gal can dream…

Young people are starving for authenticity, and they should be. The politicians who win going forward will build their own platforms. Whether on YouTube, podcasts, direct to people — outside the corporate media machine. 2016 was the Twitter campaign. 2024 was the podcast election. Trump understood this before anyone else. America needs to find someone entertaining. Because Trump turned the presidency into a reality circus and now the American people want to be entertained by their politicians. So you need all three things at once. Entertaining, charismatic, and a policy wonk and student of history who can actually govern. That unicorn exists somewhere. Find them. @VladVexler

🚨BREAKING: The lead plaintiff in the case that destroyed the VRA has a history of promoting false election conspiracies and anti-voting policies, and was at the Stop the Steal protest at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. democracydocket.com/news-alerts/be…

What a profoundly dishonest argument. Hillary Clinton didn't go to court dozens of times in an attempt to overturn votes, didn't call a state official and pressure him to find her several thousand votes, and didn't have her supporters storm the Capitol. She also conceded.
matrixbot@thematrixb0t

Joe Rogan: "They'll pretend that Hillary Clinton didn't do multiple speeches where she said that the election was stolen, Russia stole the election, with no evidence. But when [Trump] questions the election, it's a threat to democracy."

@Scaramucci Those two women candidates were not weak candidates. And both ranked high as the most prepared, intelligent, qualified candidates we have ever had. Both also had high vote totals.

Here’s the cold truth about how you beat Donald Trump. 👇🏼 You put up a mediocre candidate. A mediocre Democratic candidate beat a sitting president. Trump’s entire rise was powered by two weak opponents: Hillary Clinton & Kamala Harris. We have to look at that objectively and now comes the interesting part. The Republican Party is heading for an intellectual civil war. Because the MAGA movement is a personality cult — and the personality is leaving. Nobody else in that party can carry that mantle the way Trump can. Now we’re in an ideological fight for the future of the party. And remember — he has never cracked 50% approval. He’s beatable. He was always beatable. The question now is what comes next.

2022: “Stop overreacting, they won’t overturn Roe.” They did. 2023: “Stop overreacting, they won’t let women die rather than get an abortion.” They did. 2024: “Stop overreacting, they won’t arrest women for miscarriages.” They did. 2025: “Stop overreacting, they won’t turn women into incubators.” They did. 2026: “Stop overreacting, they won’t attack mifepristone.” They did, today. Now: “Stop overreacting, they won’t go after birth control next.” They will.

I am torn. DeSantis is a brilliant mind. I have met him, heard him lecture - there are few who are his match intellectually - which is why he belongs on the Supreme Court. On the other hand, he is the most effective manager of a large bureaucracy that I have seen in my lifetime. For instance, I could see him being an excellent Vice President pick in 2028. That talent, which could really help the USA for decades to come - would be wasted, if he was on the Supreme Court.

BREAKING: A conservative court packed with Trump-appointed judges just ruled to ROLL BACK access to the abortion pill. This is a page straight out of extremist Republicans’ anti-abortion playbook. Let me be clear: the abortion pill is safe and effective. We must fight back.

DeSantis has been the best Governor I’ve seen in my lifetime. Term is near an end now though so if I’m Trump, I’d replace Alito with DeSantis. Then we get an actual, confirmable, conservative replacement who we don’t have to worry about. He’d do great and be a legendary justice.

The same day MAGA gutted the Voting Rights Act, Trump’s pipsqueak DeSantis rushed through rigged maps. No debate. No public input. They’re scared of VOTERS. This November: FAFO.

This week, my home state of Florida under @GovRonDeSantis and an already in place super majority said FUCK YOU to all of southern and central Florida. In doing so, lawsuits are inevitable. However, voters are also inevitable, IF WE VOTE!!! These maps have no effect on statewide races. WE ALL MUST SHOW UP AND VOTE OVERWHELMINGLY FOR @davidjollyfl AS GOVERNOR, @JoseJavierJJR AS ATTORNEY GENERAL AND @AVindman FOR SENATE!!!

This was the District 20 racially gerrymandered district that the new FL map unwound. We said it was not constitutional under the upcoming Callais decision and now we’ve been vindicated with the publication of the Supreme Court’s opinion. Another racial gerrymander bites the dust.

Anyone who is wondering why DeSantis is waiting to sign the new Florida map it is because he is scared he will lose in court. I beat Republicans before when they broke the state constitution by partisan redistricting and I will do it again. Here are my receipts.
