@vclark90_sm @Lord_Sugar @piersmorgan Know all about club rivalry but when you’re happier about your rivals losing than your own team winning you need to give your head a wobble…

@vclark90_sm @Lord_Sugar @piersmorgan What a statement of your club that nothing feels as good as your rivals losing. Meanwhile in the #northbank we love our club more than our rivals

Today, we remember a legend.
On this day in history, Harambe would have celebrated another birthday. An icon that became part of internet history, American culture, and an entire generation’s timeline.
Tomorrow marks 10 years since we lost him. Ten years since the moment the world stopped scrolling and collectively mourned something bigger than a meme.
He became a symbol of loyalty, strength, chaos, unity, and the strange beauty of the internet bringing millions of people together for one cause: never forgetting Harambe.
Everyone remembers where they were when they heard the news. And somehow, a decade later, his legacy still lives on.
Gone, but never forgotten.
Rest easy to a true patriot. 🕊️🇺🇸

@Richard18719415 @vanbarel @UntoldWarFacts The raid on Gnome et Rhône aero-engine factory, on Feb 8–9, 1944 was a great example of how accurate bombing could be with low level marking. The factory was destroyed with no civilian deaths and only one injury - a worker went back to the factory during the raid to get their 🚲

I don’t disagree with that
For example towards the end of the war only lead planes had a Nordon sight
The rest dropped their bombs when the lead planes did and as bomber streams were miles long and wide then they weren’t hitting a pickle barrel
Fact remains British Pathfinders put markers down within 50 yards of be aiming point at night
It was ybe accurate heavy bombing that started the fires in Dresden leading to the fire storm
A trick the British learned from the Germans at Coventry

American bombardiers said they could drop a bomb into a pickle barrel from 20,000 feet.
The device they used to do it cost America $1.1 billion to build.
90,000 of them were manufactured during WW2.
Pilots took an oath to destroy it before letting it fall into enemy hands.
The Nazis had already stolen the plans in 1938.

@UntoldWarFacts @Richard18719415 The SABS as well as pathfinders and low level marking spearheaded by Leonard Cheshire and Micky Martin all helped contribute to much greater accuracy from 1944 onwards
English

@Richard18719415 Incredible how far RAF bombing accuracy had come by 1945. The Pathfinder crews were operating at a completely different level compared to the early years of the war.

@gkingsventures @Erimus1876 worth a watch for the ending

Anyone sympathising with @SouthamptonFC players should watch the example set by their captain, Taylor Harwood-Bellis after defeating @Boro in the play-off semi-final, second leg. Now that’s karma

You are 17 years old.
You have applied to join the Royal Air Force on a short service commission.
Less than a year from now you will be flying a Spitfire into combat against the German Luftwaffe over the skies of southern England.
You will be one of the youngest pilots in Fighter Command.
