Even before the war, we were in the camp that inflation was a bigger issue than most realized. Really neat table from @sonusvarghese that shows various common goods and services we all use, but broken down by annualized inflation over certain periods. Asked Claude to sort through them and cluster them by Relative Strength (magic formula; won't tell). So, two volatile days later .. how did that concept work out? Ehhhh ... 100% of them with positive returns. Real-time.

Trade idea: $DXYZ $VCX is up nearly 900% in last few days due to their stake in anthropic accounting for 20% of the fund $DXYZ seems like a undiscovered sympathy play on this Known for their SpaceX stake , but largely unknown is they recently purchased $100M on Anthropic though SPV / same rate of exposure as $VCX at 20% according to Claude. Stock has always traded at a massive premium to NAV and is now trading just a few dollars above NAV Feels like a easy and obvious sympathy for those who don't want to chase $VCX all the way up here There is also notable short interest at 17% adding possible torque to this idea

Some personal news: I’ve accepted a position as a portfolio manager for Dutch Asset Corporation, an RIA that provides actively-managed portfolios (primarily featuring individual stocks) for high-net-worth clients and institutions. At Dutch, I’ll be managing money using a diversified, tech-focused, long-short equity approach similar to the one I've been applying on my own over the last few years. I’ve been providing consulting services for Dutch since 2023 and have gotten to know the firm’s founder, Cullen Breen, well over that time. After meeting with Cullen and other Dutch team members in October, and passing the Series 65 exam in December, I agreed to join the firm as a PM.
