Strait of Hormuz: A CitriniResearch Field Trip The Field Report from Analyst #3 is live. citriniresearch.com/p/strait-of-ho…

breakups are like recovering from surgery the first few days are brutal. you don’t move, you’re sick, awake for a few hours just to go back to sleep and make time pass faster then it eases. you start walking again, the pain dulls, your humor comes back, you return to life eventually it’s distant. all that’s left is a scar you rarely notice. it feels unreal, like something that happened to someone else sometimes you wonder if you needed it. if there was another way. if you were wrong but you don’t stay there long that part of you is gone now you’re fine

Claude, take that data, over a six month time frame and calculate evolving trend strength using a linear regression slope function. 3. Claude, put the 100 stocks into relative positions based on those measures ... and give us a bunch of buttons, zooms, and rollover tooltips to play with and get smart. Someone asked if it's possible to succeed as a solo quant retail trader. My answer is YES* with an asterisk. There's more resources today vs. 10 years ago, but mid-freq strategies have Sharpe ratios that are meaningless until you scale. Running $50K w/1.5 Sharpe is a different prop than running $10M... Scalability is a huge issue in this space, one that we faced ultimately.
