📢 Exciting news!!!! 🎉 The #AnglingforSustainability project has had it's first recapture and release of a tagged Thornback Ray in the Solent! 🎣🦈🐟 This ray was tagged by the team in August and recaptured & released by a commercial netter in October! #AcousticTelemetry

@ScottWaby Great photo! Natural to some extent, although much of the soil loss can be attributed to poor land and soil management.

Fresh water from the Ystwyth and Rheidol rivers mix with the sea in Aberystwyth. The colour is perfectly natural and comes from deposits of peat and soil which have runoff into the rivers from the surrounding countryside after recent rainfall. (Not sewage being released!)

More electrofishing surveys in Northumberland this week. General pattern across sites lots of 0+ but few 1+ trout perhaps due to combination of Feb storms and exceptionally warm dry summer in 22' 🤔 Be interested to hear if similar trends seen elsewhere #fishsurveys #salmotrutta
