Call me old school but if a maniac with a knife is running round a neighbourhood stabbing innocent members of the public and won’t drop the knife when tackled I think the police should be able to do whatever’s needed to disarm and disable that maniac. Odd we are even debating it.

early days but my impression is that this anti Green remix of the Corbyn antisemitism smears just isn't landing. it won't dent the Green vote one iota, if anything it will harden the widespread cynicism and disgust at the media that is fuelling their rise in the first place.

Beyond tragic that our government keeps allowing this to happen and keeps on throwing 100s of millions at the French border and yet nothing changes. because fixating on policies of deterrents, detention and deportation over making it safer doesn't work. "Tougher" border enforcement won't change this. Restricting family reunification won't change this. Returns agreements won't change this either.

Zack Polanski told Laura Kuenssberg this morning he doesn’t think the Greens have a particular problem with anti-Semitism “compared to wider society and other political parties”.
Polanski also said voters shouldn’t vote for the Green Party candidates found to have made anti-Semitic comments online as they don’t represent the party.
He told the programme: “One case is one case too many”.
