@yungadult68 just realised it was NOT the sort of idea (hunch tbqh) that could effectively be explored by entering academia + doing academic thing. but also: I don't think academic "theory" has done much interesting since. Zupančič is literally the only mf with her foot still on the gas imho.

@yungadult68 NB the shift wasn't a rejection of high theory but more like OK yes this is fine now let's go apply these theories and see how it all works (or not). a meandering return to materialism not a desperate rebound cos idealism just broke up with you.
