@AlistairCarns We have surrendered our civilisation for fear of being called racist by weak twats like you. Stop pretending “tolerance” is anything but weakness. We are not superior, enlightened people. We are harmless cowards.

Nigel Farage's latest Substack shows he's just a race-baiter in a Barbour jacket. Sowing division is not patriotic in the slightest.

@davidyelland So the savages can come and rape our children and behead us in the streets, so long as we don’t talk about it and so long as we don’t notice? You are lost.

What has Elon Musk taken from you? So ask many including Andrew Neil. Here's the answer: He has taken our peace of mind. He has purposefully pushed us apart, divided us further and profited from our loss of community. And that is hard to ever forgive.

The majority of violent crimes committed in Northern Ireland are at the hands of white men born here. Femincide levels are the second highest in Europe. Northern Ireland does not have an immigration problem. It has a problem with violence.

@DAaronovitch @afneil @richardpbacon I bet you got less antisemitism before the internet was invented and before Oct 2023 too. Are those Elon’s fault as well?

this is the difference that is made to my life. Before Musk took over X it was very rare for me to receive any antisemitic abuse on this platform. As a result of the people and accounts that he has encouraged and boosted it is now an everyday occurrence. 99% of this stuff will stay online. A tiny amount of it won't.

Trevor Philips is neither sharp nor fearless: he is one of many second-raters who are being given rapid promotion by Bari Weiss because of his long record of making hostile comments about Muslims (for which he was suspended by Labour, until Keir Starmer, who shares his views, cancelled the enquiry) as well for justifying Israel's mass-slaughter of Palestinians. On the contrary, there is now no quicker route to advancement than to espouse such prejudices and to air them in sink holes like the Telegraph

The 17-year-old girl who was stabbed in Brierfield has been released from the hospital, and I hope she makes a full recovery soon. Unfortunately, some far-right activists are spreading misinformation and trying to portray the incident as a racially motivated attack. Both the victim and the suspect are British Pakistanis. A 30-year-old British Pakistani man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Notice how Tommy Robinson stopped tweeting about it once it was announced that the 17-year-old girl is British Pakistani.

Britain urgently needs to maximise sovereign AI capabilities - tho this also means keeping strong trusted US relationships. Losing access to frontier models is a major blow for British businesses and their employees, and our security. We need to rapidly permit data centres, build cheap energy sources, and create a business environment that attracts more top AI researchers and startups. Not Miliband's Net Zero madness. US govt is of course right that AI safety is important. But it’s best ensured by transparency and public-private partnerships (e.g. AISI's work with Anthropic) not by suddenly banning access for key allies like Britain.
Anthropic@AnthropicAI

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

A FIFA World Cup host country must guarantee two fundamental principles: the safety of the country — and the unrestricted entry of all qualified teams, officials and referees. The case of referee Omar Artan from Somalia is against one of these obligations. FIFA must never compromise the universality of football. #Fifa #Somalia #GianniInfantino #CAF #OmarAtan #DonaldTrump

We are aware of a video circulating in relation to the conduct of two enforcement officers. Swift action was taken as soon as the incident and complaint were raised to us and Kingdom in May, and the individuals involved no longer work for Kingdom. (Continued in comment)

@lewis_goodall @afneil According to Lewis, people would not riot in anger without Twitter/X. Because humans have always come together in a communal wankfest when one of them is decapitated by a foreign savage. Damn that Musk guy! Think of all the peaceful savages.

This week the most advanced AI model on the planet got switched off by a foreign government. British researchers were studying it. British companies were testing it. British hospitals were piloting it. Not any more. This isn't an AI story. It's the story of every industry we used to lead. Britain has some of the best AI talent in the world. DeepMind was built here. Our AI Safety Institute writes the rules other countries follow. We have the researchers, the universities, the standards. What we don't have is the power stations to run the data centres, the planning system to build them, or the industrial base to make the chips. So the work happens here and the value lands somewhere else. We invent. Others build. Others decide. Then we read about it on Saturday morning. Same story as the kit our soldiers don't have. Same story as the factories we used to. I spent nine months in government making this argument inside the room. I'll make it louder from outside.

I’m not sure what’s worse: 12 yr old girls carrying knives or the Musk-inspired memes claiming she was defending herself against immigrants. She wasn’t. But this demented incident may still fuel Reform’s anti-migrant agenda. thetimes.com/uk/scotland/ar…
