At events like this, I’m always reminded that the future of health, longevity, and innovation is built through conversation. Thank you to @upfrontvc and @FenwickWest for bringing together such an inspiring group of founders, investors, and innovators for an evening of thoughtful discussion and meaningful connection. Some of the most important breakthroughs don’t start in the lab or clinic. They start with people like Upront Team host @XtinaFattore willing to ask better questions. Grateful to be part of the conversation.

At the @barronsonline’s Advisor Teams Summit last week, attendees focused on performance, resilience, and team-building. I had the opportunity to share the stage with @JackOtter and @mattbean1, discussing how to optimize healthspan, so we can sustain peak cognitive and physical function for life. Some of the most powerful moments come when science meets real life. A highlight was connecting with comedian @ZarnaGarg, who brings humor to the very human side of health, stress, and aging. More to come from this incredible gathering.

A few days ago, Invincible: Defy Your Genetic Destiny to Live Better, Longer entered the world with one goal: to help more people understand that your genes are not your destiny. To see it become an @amazon Best Seller across multiple categories, including Aging, Longevity, Medical Conditions, and Health, is incredibly meaningful. This book is the culmination of 30 years of caring for patients, studying the biology of aging, and helping people identify risk before disease begins. Thank you to everyone who has read, shared, supported, and believed in this mission. We are changing the conversation around aging, from reactive medicine to proactive healthspan optimization. This is only the beginning.

For decades, we’ve focused on extending lifespan. But what matters just as much is how we live those years. As @DeanOrnishMD so clearly puts it: expanding your healthspan to match your lifespan is the real objective. In my book, Invincible, I break down how to do that: using measurable data, precision medicine, and daily interventions that influence how you age at the cellular level. If you’re ready to take control of your biology, this is your roadmap. → Preorder at the link in bio and access The Invincible Workbook immediately upon submission.

You have more control over your future health than you’ve been told. Chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and cognitive decline are often framed as inevitable, an expected part of aging, but they should not be. They are the result of processes we can measure, track, and reverse. In Invincible: Defy Your Genetic Destiny to Live Better, Longer, I break down the systems that drive aging at the cellular level, and what you can do to intervene early: • Optimize hormonal health • Stabilize blood sugar • Preserve muscle and strength • Reduce chronic inflammation Order yours today - hachettebookgroup.com/titles/florenc….

I was recently featured in Super Age discussing a phrase I hear all the time in medicine: “Your labs are normal.” It sounds reassuring. But it can also be misleading. “Normal” is based on population averages—not optimal health. And averages don’t reflect vitality, longevity, or how you actually feel. In clinical practice, we don’t just treat numbers. We interpret patterns. Because if you’re experiencing symptoms, that’s data. And it deserves deeper investigation, not dismissal. Precision medicine means looking beyond “normal” to understand what’s optimal for your biology. True health is about optimal function, long-term resilience, and staying ahead of disease.

Today, my book, Invincible, is out in the world! After more than three decades practicing precision medicine, I wrote this book to give you the tools to take control of your health, not wait for symptoms to send you to the doctor or ER. Invincible is about understanding your biology, identifying your risks early, and using targeted strategies to slow (and even reverse) biological aging. Chronic disease is not inevitable. Your future health is measurable and modifiable. Start taking charge of it! Invincible: Defy Your Genetic Destiny to Live Better, Longer is available for order now via my link in bio.

At The @A4MEvents Conference in West Palm Beach, I was reminded why these conversations matter. Spending time with colleagues and friends who are equally committed to advancing longevity medicine is always energizing, but more importantly, it’s where ideas evolve. So fun to see Erika Schwartz and celebrate the launch of both of our new books! We discussed biomarkers, prevention, and what it truly means to extend healthspan, not just lifespan. I also had the opportunity to share my book and the framework behind it with many of you. These conversations, your questions, your perspectives, are exactly what push this work forward. Grateful to be part of a community that is actively redefining the future of aging.

Most people wait until they can't remember what they had for lunch to think about brain health. That’s too late. In my work, I see how often early signals, like brain fog or subtle cognitive shifts, are dismissed as normal aging when they are clues to pay attention to and act on. Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is far more common than people realize, and in many cases, can be reversed. MCI can be caused by nutrient deficiencies, thyroid imbalance, chronic stress, or vascular problems--all of which are modifiable. The key is identifying it early. Because conditions like dementia and Alzheimer’s disease don’t begin overnight. They develop over years, often starting with changes we can address. Your brain is not on a fixed timeline. With the right data, the right interventions, and the right timing, you can change the trajectory. I break this down in Invincible, including how to protect cognitive function long before symptoms appear. Pre-order at the link in my bio.

Most people optimize their diet and exercise but completely overlook one of the most powerful metabolic inputs: light. As I recently shared in the @nypost, early morning sunlight is a biological signal that sets your system for the day. Within the first hour of waking, light exposure helps: • regulate your circadian rhythm • stabilize blood sugar • reduce cravings • improve energy and sleep later that night The prescription is simple: Step outside within the first hour of waking. Do it consistently. Small, repeated signals create powerful biological shifts over time. Swipe to see exactly what’s happening in your body—and what to do about it. ➡️

Your labs shouldn’t just tell you where you are today. They should tell you where your health is headed years from now. Biomarkers are measurable signals from your body that reflect how your systems are functioning in real time. When tracked correctly, they become powerful predictors of future health risk, not just snapshots of the present. At the @comitecenter, we look beyond “normal ranges” in labwork to identify the biomarkers that matter most for long-term healthspan. This allows us to detect potential problems early, personalize interventions, and help patients stay ahead of disease before it develops. This is how you move from reactive medicine to precision longevity. Watch my full conversation with @ShawnModel on the Model Health Show to learn how to use your data to your advantage.

Fear of dementia is rising. But the science tells a different story: much of cognitive decline is preventable if you act early. In my conversation with Dr. Shelly Jordan, we go deeper into what actually drives brain fog and memory loss and what most people (and many clinicians) are missing. Here’s what matters most: • Cognitive disorders don't start with symptoms. It begins decades earlier • Memory loss is not due to “normal aging” • Deep sleep is critical to brain health. It’s when your brain clears toxins • Glucose spikes may directly damage brain cells over time • Building and maintaining muscle is neuroprotective • Early, personalized intervention can stabilize, and even improve, cognitive function We also discuss why our medical system is still reactive: waiting for disease instead of identifying risk and intervening early. As a longevity physician, I focus on the data before decline. Because once neurons are lost, we’re already behind. Your brain is telling you more than you think.

For over 20 years, I’ve studied how to prevent chronic disease before it starts. How to extend healthspan in addition to lifespan. Because living longer only matters if you’re living well. My goal is simple: give you the tools to become invincible. To take control of your biology, optimize your health now and for the future, and stay strong, sharp, and vital for as long as possible. The work starts now. Preorder Invincible today → hachettebookgroup.com/titles/florenc…

For decades, medicine has focused on treating disease after it appears. But what if we shifted the focus earlier, toward understanding your individual biology and changing the trajectory before decline begins? Your genes are not your destiny. They are data. When you know how to interpret that data (your hormones, metabolism, inflammation, and risk markers), you gain the ability to intervene with precision, not guesswork. That’s how we move from reactive care to proactive longevity. Grateful to @drmarkhyman for recognizing what this work is truly about: giving you the tools to take control of your healthspan for decades to come. If you’re ready to understand your body at a deeper level, and act on it, this is where to start. Preorder yours today - hachettebookgroup.com/titles/florenc….

Your heart health is shaped by what you do every day, often in ways most people overlook. As I share in my new book, Invincible: Defy Your Genetic Destiny to Live Better, Longer, small, consistent behaviors can meaningfully shift cardiovascular risk over time. Start here: • Improve oral health: Floss daily • Lower chronic inflammation. Reduce processed foods and added sugars • Give your body a metabolic break. Stop eating at least 2 hours before bed These aren’t extremes. They’re targeted, evidence-based shifts that compound into powerful prevention. Your biology is always responding to your habits. The question is: are your habits working for you or against you? Learn more in Invincible → hachettebookgroup.com/titles/florenc…
