I don’t regret my vote for Trump in 2024. The opposite. Still glad. People are in denial though. They don’t want to hear the truth. The Epstein files gamesmanship hurt but could have been mostly forgotten. The Iran war on top of that has been a disaster.

Well he should have never started and completely unnecessary, illegal and stupid war. Of course we are happy that he didn’t order the military to commit war crimes today, but it’s still an example of TACO— those two things don’t contradict each other. At the end of this war, nothing will have been achieved; we may either be worse off than before (if strait remains closed) or best case, everything will be the same as before, except that a few thousand people died, a few billion dollars were wasted, and likely we’ll have an economic recession just from oil prices being so high for several weeks.

I don't disagree with you on those two issues but to me other issues like our environment, our economy, a responsible foreign policy, health care, clean energy, curbing the power of tech oligarchs etc. are simply more important -- plus nothing is more important to me than stopping our mad king. So I'll still vote for Democrats despite my disagreement with them on those two issues.

Today, I've had multiple Iranian and Cuban callers call the show praising Trump and how excited they all are at the prospect of returning to their native countries. One Iranian caller just called Trump the greatest president ever.

How did it become "apparent" ? There is zero evidence for it; if there was, you can be sure the US government would have shared some of it. In fact, the government stated last year that all nuclear facilities were destroyed. Even if Iran did have nuclear weapons, they do not and were never anywhere close to having an ICBM.

I really don’t care if they have nuclear weapons or not. NK is more dangerous and unpredictable and we let them have nuclear weapons. Pakistan has nuclear weapons, too. Iran wouldn’t ever use these weapons, they would be purely for deterrence; they are not stupid and know very well that if they ever used them, there would be no more Iran. (Besides, I thought the nuclear capabilities were already destroyed or set back for years.)
