Just watched Isotope Wars. Almost completely depersonalized world war/space race on some climactically doomed exoplanet. It's beautiful stuff.

What I like most about it is that they could have easily gone the route of cool dudes in armor having wicked fights with sci fi assault rifles. Instead they opted to focus on what most settings don't. Radar stations. Beyond visual range. Long range bombers. Comms.

@davidrazi There are so many series that have suffered or were unfinished due to market pressures, death, mental issues, creative differences, legal stuff, etc. while GRRM seemingly got every resource he could ever want, and to this day in 2026, is still making excuses. It's galling

@davidrazi I want him to finish the goddamn book, not because I want to read it, but because I find it repugnant that he has been unable or unwilling to do so. And I hate that sitting fat on unfinished work for over a decade is apparently a viable strategy for him and some others

@Flyingdebrisguy There is a part of me that wants to inject non-canon equipment I just made up into the Brigador mod, justified as obscure designs that barely made it off the napkin (or part of deliberate NEP misinformation/propaganda efforts), interpreted by SNC deskdrivers with dubious sources

The 6.5m version does better with my take on the Abbot 105. Could have it wrong, but the same goes for the Mae Dois, which is just a beefed up M2

Think I didn't scale it right; had been led to believe it was more around ~9m tall, but sources indicate it's more ~6.5m tall. The latter tends to scale better with weapons but the former tends to "feel" right.

Brigador Killers current release has a placeholder model for the Mongoose power-armor, but i love it, it's such a cute baby, so i did a lil doodle of it.

@Flyingdebrisguy and not just a cosmetic "oh your mech is all rusty and has bits welded on" way either, but like it's a struggle just to keep your mech from tripping over itself every 3 steps, let alone stand upright at all lol

When we gonna get a mech builder game where you actually gotta design the whole thing? Like instead of plugging parts together like "this generator gives me 15% increase in cooldown", it's "how many fucking gyros I gotta stuff into ts before it stands up straight?!"

@SofaMods The Caspian X targeting system doesn't detect the Fulcrum T7 Graser which was built 60 years later so you rig it to fire when you honk your horn. 3 hose adapters and 4 power adapters are needed to connect it to your cooling systems and power systems respectively
