OGC Nice have announced the mutual termination of Kasper Schmeichel's contract. 🔴🤝🏻 #DeadlineDay
He’s free agent now.
English

@mrmarkdolan Mild? I will put that to my friend who lost his dad and brother within 24 hours. Will also put it to my sons best mate who now has no mother due to covid.
English

🚨 QUICK REMINDER
The economic crisis we are in, is because we borrowed £500 billion, in a failed attempt to stop a predominantly mild, seasonal respiratory virus.

@anne_marchant @gayleLackey11 They are children stood infront of their grannys coffin? she is looking at her upset brother
English

@BennettinLondon @MartinSLewis @LivingWageUK The intention is to encourage employers to employ the young. If it cheaper for an employer to pay an 18 year old with no experience or and experienced 30, they will be more inclined to employ the 18 year old. Not saying I agree btw
English

As a long time support of the @LivingWageUK's Real Living Wage, glad to see it going up by 10.1% this week.
This makes a material difference, as it does change what 390,000 people earn, as firms who are signed up, change what they pay accordingly.
Mini briefing below.

English

@rolandmcs @Guy_Stallard This makes perfect sense, currently investment banks pay next to nothing in tax. Any bonuses paid will subject to taxation at far higher levels and the cash will hopefully remain in Britain
English

Hmm, I'm not absoluuuuuutely sure that having this policy change right alongside the uncapping of bankers bonuses is, errrr, 'good politics'....
Times Radio@TimesRadio
Kwasi Kwarteng is set to announce measures to pressure working universal credit claimants to up their hours or face a cut in their benefits. Lucy Fisher worries it could lead to the demonisation of benefits claimants to deflect resentment away from the government.
English

@ScotEqualiser @AMonty1917 @canadiancarol1 @PaulBrandITV Who pays for the increased wages, if there are universal increases the same will happen with goods and services. I know hospitals for example are having to pay far more to attract cleaners due to labour shortage, where does that money come from?
English

@OnceaDerrygirl @MarkVipond @PaulBrandITV The international banks pay practically nothing in corporation tax, rather then being wired back to the US, anything that’s paid in bonuses will be subject to far higher taxation. There is no negative link between this and benefits
English

@MarkVipond @PaulBrandITV Have you forgotten it was the bankers that caused the economic crisis in 2008 which, cost the taxpayer billions.
English

@Fm_adampayne @TashaAmad @MikeOmoniyiCS @RoyalFamily But none of the royals were constantly trashed for 6 years straight cuz the RF was quick to stop them
English

@popsicle_pimp @inyourmfherz @TashaAmad @MikeOmoniyiCS @RoyalFamily What’s your point, a neo natzi, a person, doesn’t represent a nation. Have you looked at the press coverage of when Harry dressed as a Natzi long before Meghan
English

@inyourmfherz @TashaAmad @MikeOmoniyiCS @RoyalFamily They were, Diana was hounded until she sadly passed. Charles was a joke figure in the press for years. There were programmes mocking them, the British press have been brutal on Andrew. Meghan was seen as the person to make them relevant again
English

@popsicle_pimp @inyourmfherz @TashaAmad @MikeOmoniyiCS @RoyalFamily There sadly is racism in all societies but she was welcomed by the majority. I can assure you she was seen as the saviour of the royal family at the time. She is not hated but she is also not trusted due to certain allegations being proved false. Personally I wish them well

English

@inyourmfherz @TashaAmad @MikeOmoniyiCS @RoyalFamily The British tabloids have gone for every royal at times, Charles, Harry etc. they need to sell papers. They don’t discriminate everyone of interest is fair game but Meghan atm is not getting abuse.
English

@MikeOmoniyiCS Why is @RoyalFamily silent about the racial discrimination and hatred aimed at Meghan by the UK media?
English

@natureincolor @OccupyDemocrats It’s to do with leaders of the commonwealth and then others, he was also very close to an exit so maybe security was also a consideration. Only leader allowed his own motorcade which says a lot
English

@OccupyDemocrats It was surprising in regards to the placement of Biden's seat, but we don't know all of the facts either
English

@letsgohawksgpg @OccupyDemocrats the only leader allowed his own motorcade, personally I’m delighted her majesty lived beyond his presidency.
English

@shawnarg18 @TudorChick1501 I don’t think anyone is worried about her telling the truth, it would be very out of character
English

@TudorChick1501 I cant wait for his book. Its going to be so insightful. But while theyre worried about Harry, they better hope that Meghan never decides to let the truth all out there! They’re not ready for that truthbomb!
English

@ScottCharles87 @EssexPR Bang on delighted that venues stayed open to give people the option to not be alone and their staff could watch. Also quite astounded that the larger retail organisations closed when they didn’t have to. Delighted they gave employees the chance to watch the funeral
English

@EssexPR Glad some businesses did close, and afforded staff the chance to pay their own respects if they wished. But hospitality has always operated when the rest of the nation is close for business, very much part of the fabric of communities. Plenty open on Jesus's birthday, for example
English

@EssexPR @JustinTrudeau I think it was an unfortunate choice of band and he probably didn’t make the connection. It’s up to Canada to decide their leader. Given who we’ve had running our country of late maybe we should stay out of this one
English

You’re not just an authoritarian leader, you’re an utter embarrassment @JustinTrudeau .
If being a serial ‘blackfacer’ isn’t bad enough, singing Bohemian Rhapsody in a bar the night before you mark Britain’s biggest day in decades…my god.
