$XDC joining the AIMA is bigger than most realize. Currently they are the ONLY public DLT in here & for good reason. AIMA = Alternative Investment Management Association That matters more than it sounds. AIMA isn’t a crypto group. It's a global policy, standards and advocacy body for the alternative investment and asset industry. In other words, this is where real capital coordinates on markets outside of traditional capital markets. So what are “alternative investments”? At the surface: Commodities Real estate Private credit Private equity But that’s only half the picture. Under the hood, alternatives are where trade finance lives. And as we know, that's EXACTLY the target market that XDC has been building around all along. Things like: Invoice receivables Trade receivables Purchase order financing Commodity-backed loans Electronic bills of lading Short-term export and import financing These are not niche markets. We’re pleased to announce that XDC Network is now formally a member of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA), the world’s largest membership association for alternative investment managers. We look forward to working with the @AIMA_org membership community, traditional asset managers, service providers and digital-asset innovators, to help accelerate the shift into next-generation alternative investment models.

Recently we've seen XDC Ventures acquire Contour, which is a digital trade finance platform that previously had to be shut down because of funding issues but is now revived with the purchase. I believe this is a great move for XDC Network. USDC was recently launched natively on XDC and it will be utilized by Contour through the "Stablecoin lab" where banks will run pilots utilizing USDC in conjunction with various trade finance products. Contour dates back to 2018, when a consortium of large banks founded the company. They ran successful pilots by digitizing letters of credit involving over 50 banks and enterprises, where they saw massive gains in efficiency, such as dramatic reductions in settlement times and cost savings. Because of the network already being proven, XDC Network is thus acquiring a shortcut to position itself as a blockchain leader in the Trillion $ market of trade finance, with access to Tier 1 banks.
