@ScriptTrooper "Imperial Inquisitors" was always a lame-ass concept. It should've been Darth Vader dropping EVERYTHING at the first concrete report of a living Jedi, and the terrifying misadventures of Vader hunting his prey.... But we can't have nice things.

Turns out when you attack fans, destroy legacy characters, prop up the message, blacklist actors for political differences, soften content till it’s unrecognizable, ignore widely accepted lore, hate your primary customers, write slop etc etc - people don’t want to support you 🤷🏻‍♂️

@PixelCNinja When I worked for them in the early 2000’s they were actively destroying NES games. 50 cent Super Mario Bros in the dumpster at some locations, “nobody wants these.” Now they’re all about retro and want a cut of the local reseller market. Gross.

METAL SLUG marks its 30th anniversary. I was around 30 myself when I conceived METAL SLUG, in a reckless attempt to strike a blow against the dominance of fighting games at the time. Back then, I never imagined that idea would still be going strong 30 years later. I worked on METAL SLUG 1 through 3, but after that, many more Metal Slug pixel artists carried the baton forward and kept the game running across generations. For a single game to continue for 30 years is not something its creators alone can achieve. METAL SLUG exists today because of the passion of its creators, the teammates who carried it forward, and above all, all of you who played it again and again and loved it. Your battle record in the long war against Morden's Army is what has sustained METAL SLUG for these 30 years. The game I poured my life into back then is still so eagerly awaited, even now, 30 years later. As a creator, that makes me truly happy, and very proud. They could have a wealth of different game types and genres if they could get off of this idea that EVERYTHING has to be AAA budget single player 3rd person cinematic action games.

Have you considered that after all the single player games they made last-gen, they were satisfied enough and live-service is something they need to improve to compete? Right now, Xbox is ahead in content and can make any game they want while Call of Duty, Minecraft, and Forza occupies PlayStation players' time and money.

This has to be one of the most insane 4K releases ever. The film was shot on DV, and at the time we did a huge amount of processing just to make it look good enough in HD to go back out to film — or 2K, as it then was. Now it’s been uprezzed again to 4K, which is frankly hysterical. We’re talking about something that began life as 512-line interlaced video being pushed to 4K. And, just for added fun, the way it was shot also built in temporal artefacts as it was shot 25FPS, which I can assure you gave us some very interesting headaches trying to get rid of them.
