Cornerback Deonte Banks' fifth-year option is being declined by the Giants. Hardly a surprise given his struggles the past few seasons.   Essentially the Giants declined to pick up an option that would have put Banks under contract in 2027 for $12.633 million. Instead, he’s fighting for playing time with second-round pick Colton Hood and free-agent signing Greg Newsome in his way.

Ar'Darius Washington is going to have a much bigger role on this team than many realize. Another guy who can in the 5-tech role is Chauncey Golston, who will fit this defense better than the last one. Sounds like the Giants are also going to move Tyler Nubin to a more natural strong safety role.

The #Seahawks are switching former Arkansas WR Tyrone Broden to CB as he enters his second NFL season. Interesting project considering Broden is listed at 6-foot-5, 194 pounds and runs a 4.37.

Deceleration is a cornerstone for change of direction and sharp cuts when running routes. At this year's @seniorbowl Malachi Fields (6'4", 222 lbs.) was top three in deceleration time at -6.49. Impressive, considering he was behind Lewis Bond and Kevin Coleman Jr. Both are 5'11" and 180-190 lbs. Since 2018, Fields ranks 12th in deceleration and is the biggest receiver (height & weight) to have ever been tracked by @ZebraSports. There have been other 6'4" receivers to test, but none tested better or were as heavy as Fields.

BREAKING: Former ASU QB Jeff Sims has accepted a rookie minicamp invite with the New York Giants, per agent Chris Rogers. He chose NYG over another opportunity with the Chargers. His jersey from the Iowa St. game (228 rush yds, ASU QB record) is in the ASU HOF.
