Don't listen to anything I say on here, it consists of nothing intelligent but I think that's the point.

@JDLuebe @LandmandG Look at the hole or where you want the ball to “die” during your stoke instead of the ball. Instant cure.

Scrolling through my camera roll while also Googling “how to cure putting yips” the morning of @LandmandG is a frightening exercise. Any last minute yips tips for me?

@Top100Rick You’d think concussions and broken bones and clubs would deter this kind of thing.

@Top100Rick Yeah, but if you have a tree guarding the green, do you really need to put bunkers in directly behind it (as in photo #3)?

In defense of trees: Trees are being knocked down by the thousands on USA golf courses, for strategic, aesthetic, historic, and agronomic reasons. They have become villains. But in Japan, trees are venerated. They stand tall and proud. Tree removal is definitely happening, but appears to be very selective. Having strategic trees in play seems to be the norm versus the exception. Tree removal certainly has its place. But so do trees. Trees have spirit and life. Trees provide a sense of place. Trees can provide strategy and challenge. Trees can even nullify distance problems by making angles really matter. I’m not against tree removal when it fits the course history and the character of the area. But trees can be wondrous and beautiful. I think sometimes a middle ground would be the place to be.

Can someone tell me why Zach Johnson’s wife is involved in any Ryder Cup prep beyond the uniforms? Her Tea Party/Michele Bachman face should be a concern to American fans.

@reedsw0rld @caddietales Just don’t be a weiner. The odds for an amateur making a long putt with pressure on is pretty low anyway and transferring that pressure to the caddie is unnecessary and childish. Own your game.

I’ve come to dislike caddying for guys that are playing a match, which is odd because you’d think it would add to the fun. But inevitably it leads to a guy on the 17th or 18th hole standing over a 60 foot putt and saying, “Give me your best read. I really need to make this.” Usually that’s followed by a look of disdain after they don’t. Happens every match! Probably my biggest caddie pet peeve. And it wouldn’t have to happen if they’d only made any of the countless 3-5 footers they pushed or pulled on the first 16 holes. 😂 Here I stand, I will not waver!

@abstrother @OttawaGolferSue Unless the pins stay in the same spot, that doesn’t look fresh to have been that near when done. Also, it looks like the club needs to have an education night on fixing ordinary pitch marks.

@Hammbear2024 @laz_versalles Maybe the guys insisting on taking it out are being unreasonable, especially if they’re outside 15’ where the chances of making it are pretty low anyway

Last 5-6 rounds I’ve had one player in the group who putts with the pin in and it slows down everything. Let’s go back to pull the pin when you’re on the green.

@higdon2262 @BogeyBeGone @laz_versalles Every study does not show that. There are studies that show the opposite. In most cases, it simply doesn’t matter. The preference is the by-product of an antiquated rule and bad anecdotes.

For the month of July, X (formerly known as Twitter), paid me $710.72. My stats for context. I am seeing other people post their payouts and stats... Some of them have similar impressions to me, but were paid significantly more. When you scroll their feed, they are posting a lot of "controversial" Sh*! posts intended to drive engagement. A lot of bait meant to get as many comments as possible.

@LouStagner You realize that the tee shots in the 🌳 are much shorter than they would have been, had they not hit the 🌳 trees 🌲. Truly don’t understand this statement. Short b/c it would be longer if hit squared in play?

@lowlevelbuzz @LouStagner Not true. Kids just aren’t treated like adults because science says their brains aren’t developed to necessarily think like adults. Also, jail doesn’t work for most issues. Most people that show disrespect are ones that have been disrespected their whole life.
