@DanTalks1 Lost to the flip flops wearing goat herders and rice farmers in Afghan and Vietnam. Can't enact regime change in Iran, can't even open the Strait. Can't secure the Uranium. Second rate power now.

The US priority was disabling Iran as a nuclear threat. They have done that. They have oil. The Israeli priority is regime change in Iran so that they can stop fighting The Islamic republic and its proxies in Gaza, Lebanon and Yemen. The European priority appears to be oil. So go secure the routeway for oil.

@SBarrettBar How, the Strait was always going to be impossible. Everyone with half a brain knew that. Trump has finally figured it out. What do you think Starmer could have actually done here? You're a fucking half-witted man child.

@grey4626 Summary: Europe was getting oil fine. Then Trump thought he'd fuck it all up because he's a man-child and everyone said 'Don, you don't have what it takes - you'll fuck it all up'. Now Don had fucked it all up he wants the grown ups to sort out the mess.

Fucking Finally. The Lion of Mar-a-Lago has roared with that signature, unfiltered lethality, and the message slices through the European delusion like a Tomahawk through a command bunker: the age of American subsidy for your parasitic cowardice is fucking over. To the sniveling, jet-fuel-starved cock-suckers of the United Kingdom and its spineless continental cohorts...listen the fuck up. For eighty years we have bled treasure, blood, and industrial supremacy to underwrite your decadent existence. From the Marshall Plan’s reconstruction of your war-ravaged empires to the carrier battle groups that have patrolled the Persian Gulf since the Tanker War of the 1980s, America has been your unpaid mercenary, your nuclear umbrella, your global logistics backbone. NATO? Nothing more than the North American Tribute Organization...where the United States shoulders over sixty-five percent of the alliance’s actual spending while your militaries have atrophied into hollow parade-ground husks, underfunded, undermanned, and equipped with yesterday’s gear because you chose cradle-to-grave welfare states and green virtue-signaling over steel and resolve. Geopolitically, the Strait of Hormuz is no academic footnote: it is the jugular vein of the world economy, funneling twenty-one percent of global petroleum liquids...nineteen million barrels a day...through a narrow chokepoint that asymmetric Iranian tactics...mines, anti-ship missiles, speedboat swarms...were designed to threaten precisely because they knew direct confrontation with American naval power was suicide. We and our Israeli partners have done the hard kinetic work...the precision decapitation of their leadership structure. The heavy lifting is finished. Now these same European freeloaders, who lacked the spine to commit forces when it mattered, dare complain about disrupted sea lanes? Decades of Pax Americana have bred in you a terminal strategic infantilism: a learned helplessness wrapped in smug moral superiority. You lecture the world on the “rules-based order” while outsourcing your survival to American sons and daughters. History is merciless on this point...from the Suez Crisis of 1956, when your imperial twilight exposed the limits of European power projection without U.S. backing, to the present. Your elites are psychologically castrated by comfort; your populations softened by entitlement. You forgot that freedom of navigation is not a birthright...it is enforced by gun, steel, and the will to use them. President Trump’s directive is surgical in its venomous precision: Number One, buy the fucking fuel from us...we have plenty. Number Two, grow some long-overdue balls, reconstitute what remains of your navies, sail into the Strait, and TAKE IT. No more American taxpayers dying to keep your fighters in the sky and your economies from freezing in the dark while you backstab and virtue-signal. The parasite has fed on the host long enough. The era of the United States as Europe’s security guard, banker, and scapegoat is closed. Fight for your own oil or learn to live without it. Adapt or wither. The choice is yours, but the protection racket is finished. Grow a fucking spine or don't. We don't give a fuck anymore. 💀🗡️⚖️

@BludSquirrel @MartinSkold2 Let me help - you're struggling to follow here. Europeans don't see Russia as a threat anymore than you honestly see Iran as a threat. But politicians sometimes bullshit for ulterior motives. I'm happy to say that - whereas you're fluffing for Trump so you feel awkward about it.

I don’t have a corroborating source, but this would track - Western Europe in particular wants out. (Spain also reportedly just did this.) One reason for keeping NATO around was power projection into the MidEast - that may become a moot point. And conversely, if the reason for that power projection was to defend a US-Europe-Gulf consensus that is breaking down…it may not matter.

@JavierBlas When you say 'leave to others' you kind of make it sound like a deliberate choice, rather than just admitting he doesn't have the ability to do so....like everyone with half a brain has been saying all along.

Increasingly it does sound like US President Donald Trump will leave the Strait of Hormuz to others to sort out. "... The U.S.A. won't be there to help you anymore ..."

@BludSquirrel @MartinSkold2 Ha ha - see. It all falls apart when you have to pretend that Iran is a threat but then you know you'll look like a massive pussy if you agree with that so you have to concede the politicians sometimes make shit up to justify their actions. Look a bit of a tit there now fella.

@ForensicFsk @MartinSkold2 No, but I also see that the US didn't bother to consult Europe at all before attacking them, because their opinions are irrelevant. I cannot stress enough how stupid you have to be to not be able to tell who has a dick to swing around here and who doesn't.

@InezFeltscher This is just an admission he can't open the Strait and is just going to declare a victory and say everything has been achieved. Let's be honest we all saw this failure coming. TACO.

@BludSquirrel @MartinSkold2 I'm very happy that we can dispense with US protection thanks. Send them home. Euro NATO will be fine. There's no Russian threat. The threat is being harnessed to the village clown.

Zelensky doesn't believe it, but European politicians keep acting like they do. Also, if you weren't a fucking idiot, you'd realize that if you didn't believe it you wouldn't have a point here, because European leaders would be able to do exactly what I said they would do if they wanted to leave NATO, which is make peace with Russia. Your entire idiotic position requires you to believe that Russia is both a big bad threat and stupid and weak. It's nothing more than an emotional coping mechanism for being scared of Russia, wanting US protection, but still wanting to pretend that Europe is in the superior position.

couple confusing things about the war: 1. why haven't the gulf nations fully committed. how many times do they need to be attacked before attacking back? 2. if Hormuz strait closure is existential for europe and asia, how come only Ukraine + US seems like its try to fix it?

That's funny, because Russia doing exactly that has been the justification for fighting a proxy war against them in Ukraine. But you've clearly got nothing but euro-shit sloshing around in your skull, so I'm guessing that you're willing to believe any number of self-contradictory narratives.

@AshTuvalu @DanTalks1 Do you understand the difference between 'lobbying' spend and giving money directly to Congressmen campaign funds. Evidently not. Idiots supporting Trump demonstrating once again their fundamental lack of being able to understand simple stuff.

In our culture, when someone who is very upset at you about your behavior starts being nice to you, it means the decision about you has been made already and it's just mitigation of future fallout. The more reserved Rubio is about this, the worse for EU countries it will be.
Department of State@StateDept

🚨 SECRETARY RUBIO: If NATO is just about us defending Europe if they’re attacked, but them denying us basing rights when we need them, then that’s not a very good arrangement. That’s a hard one to stay engaged in and say this is good for the United States.

@DanTalks1 Ha ha, yes .. yes you do. Osprey as an interesting case. Fucking disaster of a development programme. But spread manufacture over 44 states and you're never going to get enough congressmen questioning the programme.

@BludSquirrel @MartinSkold2 Your problem is you still think Russia is the Warsaw Pact. Russia isn't going to invade Europe with a massive disadvantage of manpower over huge lines of supply and lacking air superiority into a Western Europe that would have the advantage of being on Defence, you're clueless.

Europe wants out of NATO the same way a spoiled teenager wants out of his parent's house. When European leaders start talking about making peace with Russia, then they'll be ready to consider leaving NATO. Until then, they still need big daddy US to protect them, and this stuff is just petulance.

It looks like NATO will either find a way to expel members like Spain, who refuse to fulfill their obligations, or it will be dissolved much sooner than anyone expected or is going to be ready. The second outcome looks the more likely now.

Can you imagine the energy, food, and electronics crisis in Asia and Europe if that happened? Europe refusing to militarily support the US in the efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz could turn out to be one of the biggest strategic mistakes ever. And the left celebrates that
