Japanese voice acting industry is one of the biggest JP industries while western voice acting is nothing but a hobby. The average Japanese VA can mimic a dozens of animal sounds while a female western VA cannot do anything besides mommy voice and guys only know Steve Blum voice

I think half the appeal of watching subbed anime is so you dont realize how bad the voice acting is

I genuinely think the internet gives Europeans a weird alternative reality version of America that is just like this because many of them definitely act like it. We have issues but I feel supremely blessed to have been born here over 99% of the rest of the world.

You know what? Screw it. They're right. There are no produce aisles in America. There are no bakeries. There are no convenience stores outside New York City. Everyone has been shot with a gun. And we put "America Sauce," of a totally random composition, on everything. Go live in a real country and leave us alone.

Honestly if Tigrex returns in Wilds how are they even gonna implement him into a game where all monster attacks can be offset? Is he just gonna run like a headless chicken into certain demise?

@PhrogPollen I think being honest about the sins we struggle with and acknowledging our shortfalls is nearly as important as being upfront about our faith, Jesus and the gospel

Personally, I think it's not hypocritical to call out sin you're struggling with. Imo, hypocrisy is not calling the sin you're committing a sin, but rather, calling it a sin when others do it but exempting yourself from that judgment. Matthew 7:3-5 describes this hypocritical judgement as akin to having a plank in your eye while trying to take out a splinter from someone else's. The idea is that your own sin is causing you to be blind and not able to operate correctly as a brother or sister in Christ. However, if you are aware of your own sin - not blind to it - and actively combatting it, I see no issue with helping take splinters out of a brother's eye while he helps you remove yours. Furthermore, I think people with a history in a sin can be the greatest voice to speak up about why it's wrong. A pastor can preach about how it's wrong to do drugs, but it will never be more impactful than if he got up behind the pulpit and shared his own story of battling and overcoming drug addiction. You can tell people LGBT is wrong and perversion of God's natural order, but the most impactful voice on the matter is someone who has survived it. Don't let guilt over your sin silence your voice. Your testimony, even a work in progress one with no moment of victory yet, can be incredibly powerful. ♥️Phrog

@PhrogPollen I am sorry you're going through a far bigger can of worms than you initially thought. I've been just as confounded seeing some of the responses. I have cried to myself over the sin of lust, felt wretched and disgusting for the desires of the flesh. I can't comprehend it.

For context about why this matters to me so much (and this is not to discredit anything I've said as an emotional response, but to explain why I haven't dropped the topic even though it's been several days): The first and only guy I ever dated sexually desired me badly. He looked at porn regularly during our relationship and would tell me to apologise immediately after. He would have physical evidences of his lust when he sat with me or held my hand or anything like that. He asked me to do things I felt were very inappropriate, especially with how early into the relationship we were, such as sitting in his lap, making out, hanging out alone in his house. Somethings I conceeded to, some things I didn't. He was aware his lust for me was wrong, but he had no control over it because he'd never practiced control before dating. He spent his teen years looking at porn, and then his young adulthood, and somehow expected to be able to physically control himself sexually once in a relationship. I can't even imagine how much worse it would have been for me if he had been told sexually desiring me was permissable. I already felt like a piece of meat to him. I already realised the main reason he wanted to get married was sex and to just be able to say he had a wife. He hardly cared about me, and he showed that repeatedly. I never felt really safe around him. Not because I was afraid he would (or could) do anything to me, but because I was nervous about just what he was thinking about in the moment. Just what sort of fantasies he was entertaining about me. Just what he WOULD do if given the chance/given permission. I never would wish that sort of experience on any woman. It's incredibly dehumanising and makes you feel like crap. I want a man who loves me, not a man who wants me. A man who wants to give, not a man who wants to take. So this will be the final thing I'll say on the topic, as a sort of summary since you may not have seen all my posts. By definition, I agree that sexual impulses are not sinful in and of themselves - that second of a thought placed in your mind, a biological response, etc. You have no control over that. But when you entertain that thought and claim it as yours, letting it grow into desire and lust, that's sinful. And disgusting. What right do you have to look at anyone that way? I want to be very clear on my terms because people love twisting my words. Temptation to lust is not sin. Giving into that temptation, letting your mind dwell on sexual thoughts, is 100% sinful. That's the difference in the terms I use: sexual impulse, versus sexual attraction or desire. I can understand if you disagreed with me on my use of terms, because we all have different vocabulary on the topic. But if you disagree with the fundamental concept, I cannot help but be disgusted with you. All I can say at this point is get right with God. Choose this day whom you will serve, God and His religion of sacrifice and love, or yourself and your religion of pleasure and lust. There is no inbetween. There is no middle ground. One road leads to life, and the other to destruction.

I'm genuinely baffled at so many people parroting the same belief, That sexual attraction/desire for someone (which is the definition of lust, btw) is the only motivation for someone to get married. As far as I'm aware, this has never been a held church teaching? I've never heard it growing up in the church, never read it in any of my theological studies on the topic, never heard it preached. I'm baffled at the fact that so many men are saying the exact same thing, that the only reason they want to get married is to have sex. Furthermore, I never expected so many Christians to dispute me on what "lust" means. It has always been held, as far as I know, to simply be desiring to have sex with someone you are not married to. That is what the Bible teaches, that is what every pastor and writer who's worth his salt teaches. But I have gotten so many people very aggressively informing me that is not the definition of lust anymore. And that sexually desiring someone is God given. (And no one has really made an attempt to define what they think lust besides like 2 people) Now I'm starting to understand why young Christian women are so off put by Christian men they see online. If you truly believe the sole or primary reason you should get married is to finally sleep with a woman, you're going to have a very hard time finding a woman who feels safe and loved by you. You simply cannot expect a healthy, God-fearing young woman to willingly put herself in a relationship where she is only giving of herself to fuel your desires.

@PhrogPollen As someone who hates the sin of lust more than any other due to my personal struggles with it, it has been kind of infuriating to see so many make excuses for it. Maybe I'm extra grumpy because insomnia is kicking me hard right now so I'm up with no one to talk to but mannn..

@PhrogPollen I argue that you can make hentai and be a Christian and have opinions on lust so long as you do acknowledge that it IS a sin and we're not attempting to delude ourselves into thinking it's not. Isaiah 5:20
