Rory has something deep inside that drives him to greatness and protects him from collapse even in the midst of sometimes long struggle, and it goes beyond resilience or ego and has nothing to do with whether he's a good guy. On the secret ingredient: golfdigest.com/story/masters-…

@M_MiracleMan If 2018 playoff Kuznetsov had stuck around, does Ovi have 1000 goals? And/or another cup?

Almost 1500 civilian deaths, including school girls who died as collateral damage, 3 million Iranians displaced, 7 US military personnel dead, 140 wounded and the puerile White House trolls laugh at it like it's a video game. Disgraceful how unserious they are. #IranWar

@sammisilber They have the 2nd worst PP and the 8th worst PK. Interesting definition of "effective"

Aliaksei Protas will get time on the power play tonight again. Spencer Carbery on why he hasn’t played PP: “I know everything screams, ‘Why is this guy not on the power play?’ It's just a minute management thing for him, because he's such an effective 5-on-5 & PK player for us.”

Burned by your two best powerplay guys. Leonard getting caught off guard by the notion that the Puck might come his way on the face off. Chychrun drop passing to no one. Unacceptable

After 40, Capitals and Flames tied 3-3 after goals from Gridin, Coleman (SHG) and Sharangovich (SHG). Shots 20-14 in favor of CGY, and boos are raining down.

Neither of the Capitals’ new trade acquisitions will play tonight. David Kampf is still going through immigration proceedings, and Spencer Carbery wants to give Timothy Liljegren a chance to watch a game before coming in.

@sammisilber It's the second worst power play in the entire league. Pretty low bar for "great job"

Spencer Carbery on the Caps power play and coaches solving it, including Kirk Muller: “We’re all involved in it… Kirk runs the power play, does a great job. It’s not a lack of effort and not a lack of trying to turn over every block and find solutions to what’s going on.”

@Fortis1051 I think they played the way they needed to in the 1st. Canada has just been better in the 2nd. Not a coaching issue to me.

The US has to be better this period. Canada was able to overwhelm them and play far too long in the US end. Don't even need to generate offense, just sustain shifts and cycle in the O Zone. Can't play all game in your end.

@M_MiracleMan USA playing like an underdog, just chipping pucks out and hoping for counter attacks. Wrong mindset, they’re every bit as talented as Canada they need to play with some confidence

@Fortis1051 Certainly would. I’m just not sure it would make much difference, especially after they have a decent amount of practice time with it.

Lots of people are calling for a reduction in the size of driver heads for tour players. I understand the reasoning. I have a genuine question.... Quite a few tour players are swinging their ~180-200cc 3 woods with shorter shafts than driver at 115-120+mph club head speed and 175-180mph ball speed. They don't seem to struggle hitting the center of these much smaller heads with a similar effort level to their driver swings? It doesn't seem to constrain them to swing slower in fear of mishits? I think smaller driver heads for pros would be interesting, I'm not saying it's a good or bad idea. I'm just unsure how big a difference it would make? I know this can be a very emotional topic for some, so please try not to yell in the replies. It is just a question about golf equipment🙂. I wish all of you a lovely weekend.

@Fit_For_Golf Right. But the solid contact is easier with th shorter shaft. Longer shaft, 200cc head, might be harder to flush it at 127mph club speed

@Fortis1051 A 3 wood shaft is typically 43 inches, rather than ~45.5 for driver. So, there is a reduction in club head speed solely due to this length difference. Spin loft is also higher, leading to reduction in smash factor. These wouldn't be factors with smaller headed drivers.
