"The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me." (John 17: 22-24)

I believe a long peace can create self-indulgent citizens who spend their copious amounts of free time fighting each other. As said by Herodotus (Histories): "Civil strife is as much a greater evil than a concerted war effort as war itself is worse than peace."

Both arguments far too human-centered. 1) I am a special part of the Elect because I was chosen to be saved. 2) There is no predestined "elect" because I have free will to make MY own choices. Eternity exists IN God. God cannot be God unless He know 1st moment and the last moment...But even that sentence fails because a "moment" describes a humans understanding of time and any possible notion we can conceive of describing the abstract of "time" falls woefully short of the sheer mystery that is I AM. God does know who will be saved, just as the Lamb "was slain before the foundation of the world". The Alpha and the Omega cannot be controlled by man's free will. R.C. Sproul states correctly that the act of evangelism not only reaches those lost sheep the Shepherd seeks to gather, but also grows, strengthens, humbles, and molds the believer into a more devoted and effective child of God. A child who in every moment, seeks the will of his Heavenly Father as Jesus modeled perfectly.

NEW: Rep. Tim Burchett says the first drop of UFO files is a "drop in the bucket" compared to the "Holy Crap" moment that is coming. "The 1st drop will be big but in comparison to what is coming they will be a drop in the bucket. I would say “Holy Crap” is coming," he said. 162 files were released on Friday, some of them dating back 80 years. The following footage was from an infrared sensor aboard a United States military platform in 2013, according to the Department of War.

Hi Abeja, you are 100% right that Ezekiel speaks of God and Angels, not giants or demons. My post is a joke about the Warhammer 40K universe. The recorded object (whatever it was) just looked too close to the symbol for Chaos from Warhammer 40k for me not to make the joke. The reference to a "giant" is because the Emperor of Mankind in the Warhammer universe is incredibly tall and fights Chaos. The post would certainly be confusing without any knowledge of the Warhammer SciFi universe. Hopefully this clears up any confusion.

FYI: If you’re on X attacking me for buying a vehicle I like because it benefits Elon Musk, you may want to think that one through. Every time you post here to criticize me, you’re helping Elon’s other company, and likely training or feeding the ecosystem around xAI in the process. That’s the problem with purity tests: almost nobody passes them. If you want to trace the political contradictions behind nearly every product, platform, app, service, bank, car, phone, grocery store, streaming service, or AI tool you use, go ahead and ask Grok. Or ChatGPT. Or Claude. The truth is, modern life is full of compromises. I bought a vehicle I like. You’re posting on Elon’s platform to yell at me about it. Maybe we can all climb down from the hypocrisy Olympics for a minute.

I might get hate for this too but I bought a Cybertruck. With a young family, safety was important and so is not polluting the atmosphere with $5 a gallon gasoline.

@DiscussingFilm "My Dad is coming home" "You're pining for a Daddy" Using "Dad" & "Daddy" feels off. Maybe it's just me, but it feels like you should use "Father" when making an epic.

@TheGreatB00ks Pride. Hubris. Arrogance. A writer pours his heart and soul into the words of a timeless piece of literature and a director comes along for 3 years and thinks "I'm certain I can make this better".

@CollinRugg Excellent decision by the jury and judge! Lethal injection is too merciful...But anything less than death would have been unthinkable.

BREAKING: FedEx driver who pleaded guilty to kidnapping and murdering 7-year-old Athena Strand, has been sentenced to death. Tanner Horner snatched Athena while he was delivering a Barbie doll to her home in Paradise, Texas. At one point during the trial, jurors broke down in tears while hearing audio of Horner killing Athena after he told her to take off her shirt and said she was "really pretty." Athena repeatedly asked for her mother before she was killed. "Horner is then heard asking Athena to remove her shirt, and there are several moments when she says "no" and asks for her mom. That was followed by repeated sounds of crying, screaming and banging," NBC reported last month. Following three hours of deliberation today, Horner was sentenced to death by lethal injection.

My wife sometimes asks me with genuine curiosity; why the male fascination for violence & war? I have to yield to Robert Fagles for an explanation I deeply felt, but could never put in to words as elegantly. If you share this sentiment, remember, there is nothing wrong with it.

@StephenM Beats an elderly man and steals from him. Gets caught. "Hey that's my phone, man." ... an absolutely shameless, despicable human. We HAVE to remove the deep-seated rot before our society devolves into chaos.
