Thanks to @ocean_mining (specially for DATUM protocol) and @Braiins (for building a hashrate marketplace), using this I was able to find a block recently using my own Knots node and my own configurations. Many would disagree with my config(whether BIP110 or datacarrier=0 or small block) but this is how decentralization should work. Conceptual disagreements outside of how you run your software stack is part of the emergence of consensus and it shouldn't emerge from a committee of few experts who make abrupt changes to the node client against the wishes of their own users.
I would further request @braiins team to continue providing their excellent service to users on both side of this debate without bias and let a natural consensus emerge. The mining pools are already heavily centralized, so the few decentralized miners like myself trying to mine with their own nodes & preferences should only be encouraged IMHO.

@Vikingobitcoin9 @ManThatCrazy I don't think I've slept through the night in...honestly can't recall...it just is what it is. But certainly will give this a try.
English

@FractalEncrypt @ManThatCrazy I hope it works for you man. I was going insane waking up everyday with only 4 hrs of sleep.
English

@Vikingobitcoin9 @ManThatCrazy Just ordered, will give it a shot. def could use it...
English

@ManThatCrazy I really hope it works for you. It was really becoming a serious problem for me. I take it first thing when I wake up.

@moonbootspleb @ubeenfranked Super interesting, thanks! Never realized that...wonder if there's a message in there.
English

@FractalEncrypt @ubeenfranked The wings are still slightly damp and folded indicating it was just hatched but still able to fly as far as it did.
English

@moonbootspleb @ubeenfranked I believe this is probably true...how can you tell???

@FractalEncrypt hahahaha kyc for pasta...

@Excellion The artists do not matter, never will.
The art is the thing that matters.
(This is why I hide myself and only show the art.)

@secsovereign What a story! And congrats on the engagement. You love to see it. Inspiring stuff.

In late 2023 my life fell apart completely.
Lost both jobs.
Girlfriend of ten years left.
Grandpa died.
My mom was sick in a way that had been consuming me for years.
I got Bitcoin in 2010, understood the protocol, and then basically forgot about it.
13 years later, at rock bottom, I'm in the shed and find an old hard drive.
At @PorcFest 2024 I meet the guy who can help me recover it.
Weeks later, in Colorado, it's done.
Almost 14 years to the day, I recover the BTC I put on it.
Broke and alone → financially stable for life.
January 2025 I finally got mom into a home.
That summer I moved to Tysons, started working out of @Strategy's Hub, built a whole new life and community in the DC area.
At @PorcFest 2025, the same event where my life turned around the year before, I got the call.
My mom was gone.
October 31, 2025. Whitepaper day. I made the first commit on Bitcoin Commons (@BtcCommons), a ground-up alternative Bitcoin node written in Rust, built from a formal specification of consensus rules that has never existed before.
I kept building.
The specification and implementation co-evolved through the winter.
Governance research published January 2026.
Alpha shipped May 7, 2026.
I just got back from Manila.
I'm going to marry her.
Bitcoin saved my life.
I'm spending it making Bitcoin harder to kill.

Lead maintainer - Bitcoin Core had a single lead maintainer until 2023. Linux has had a single lead maintainer since 1991. What evidence do you have that global open source projects of the most important nature run better without a single maintainer?
Content - that’s not the question. Taproot OP_IF was a bad decision for a script language designed to branch in leaves. There’s no good argument for keeping it and very good arguments to remove it. It does not have other great use cases (look on chain) and it does not freeze utxos to remove it. Taproot is simply better from an engineering perspective without it. The main privacy and efficiency benefits come from leafs and are eliminated by op_if. 99.6% of the use of taproot op_if on chain are “if true = false, load data” - a system hack

Feels like you haven't been listening or understanding the debate, or maybe you're captured too. This isn't difficult: BIP-110 stops official arbitrary data storage. Anything else is a lie. Bitcoin, only has ONE place for official arbitrary data storage in transactions, called OP_RETURN. Restrict that, and you restrict the official ability to store porn on bitcoin. Ramming it in somewhere else with steganographic attacks or via code exploits, are NOT supported uses of bitcoin and are therefore subject to fixes later. We stop OFFICIAL exploits now, and then work on the rest, iteratively. Which part of this is not clear? I welcome the discussion. Seriously. I'm a BIP-110 supporter. I'm reaching outside of my echo chamber. Prove me wrong.
Lyn Alden@LynAldenContact
@Bongo_King1 I sympathize with those who are concerned about spam on bitcoin, but I’d invite you to look around and see that you’re in an echo chamber that makes a minority fork (which doesn’t solve the issue) feel like the majority.

Hoping I don’t have a memory issue. Pray for me. I don’t want to pay these prices for ram.
