@kelceylehrich Agree. No PG unless it’s 100% yours. Exceptions being an SBA where your contribution is the SBA Loan and PG and you still retain 80%+.

I've been seeing a lot of distressed eCom M&A opportunities this year. A concerning trend I am seeing emerge is founders who have outside investment ending up with a chunk of PG'd obligations and a balance sheet insolvency. If you don't control your destiny don't PG anything!

🚨🚨BOI REPORTING IS BACK!🚨🚨 Y'all, it's finally happened. Yesterday, I updated you on the court decision that put BOI reporting back in effect and today FinCEN issued a release announcing that... Mandatory reporting is officially back. They have extended the deadline 30 days to allow businesses 30 more days to comply. This means everyone who hasn't filed has until March 21, 2025 (subject to a few exceptions like those in disaster recovery areas where further extensions have been granted). I will note that FinCEN is also reviewing the rule to see how they can reduce the burden on and lower risk to small businesses. So that means more changes could be coming. But for now, suffice it to say, BOI is back. If you haven't filed, take advantage of the extra time and get ready to file. FinCEN’s E-Filing system is free and available online. But of course there's a million service providers out there willing to help if you prefer that route. Things continue to evolve quickly, so I’ll keep you posted on any further updates. Stay tuned!!

@jamesonhaslam I like this but would add it’s essential to learn how to speak the language of business in the process. Learn how to read financial statements (not just the income statement). Learn units economics, have to manage gross margin by job, and how to manage G&A costs.
