Brazil's central bank banned crypto from regulated cross-border payment rails on April 29, with the stated goal of oversight over capital flows which is a fair objective in itself. 🌎 The issue is that pulling the payment option millions of people were actively using isn't the same as solving the underlying problem that made them reach for it, and fragmentation is what pushes people toward those workarounds in the first place.
