Women from faith backgrounds have told us they face barriers to getting help and support, so we are carrying out research to get a better picture of how ending VAWG and women's organisations respond to them. If you work directly with survivors we would be grateful if you could complete our short survey lnkd.in/eEaaE9n2

UN investigators concluded Israeli security forces have perpetrated sexual and gender-based violence against Palestinians in Gaza since October 7, 2023 — including rape, sexualized torture, forced nudity, and other forms of sexual violence causing extreme physical and psychological harm. They found this violence was used as “collective punishment to fracture, humiliate, and subjugate the Palestinian population in its entirety,” and that Israel also targeted reproductive health, acts that constitute genocide by causing serious harm and aiming to prevent births. Zeteo’s @mehdirhasan spoke to veteran UN Commissioners Chris Sidoti and Navi Pillay of the UN Commission of Inquiry, about their findings.

Key points from ⁦@ZarreenMohi⁩ from ⁦@AWRCENTRE⁩ on the importance of by and for partnerships. By and for agencies need to be key agencies in the #CCR to domestic abuse and harmful practices

⭐️ Read the new blog by Coaction Hub (@STagainstDA_ & @AWRCENTRE) 'What does Good Practice Look Like?’ where we discuss best practices for addressing Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), emphasizing inclusivity, anti-racism, co-production with survivors, and equitable partnerships. With significant improvements needed in VAWG services, particularly for Black and minoritized survivors, the blog advocates for greater accountability and adequate funding to ensure trauma-informed, accessible support for all.
