Amazing! South Koreans, Brazilians, Japanese, Canadians, Brits all expressing- in their own languages- increasingly limited freedom of speech & censorship. They all point to China.

SCOOP: California is giving free sex-change procedures to homeless illegal aliens. Our team went into the shelters and discovered that trans migrants are coming into the state for hormones, breast implants, and "bottom surgeries"—all on the taxpayer dime. city-journal.org/article/homele…

Pope Leo XIV represents everything that President Trump is not—an overwhelmingly popular, humble, gracious, and kind leader who is devoted to serving God and others without fear or favor. As Catholics, we are taught that all of us are created in the image of God. We are instructed to strive for peace and to recognize the dignity of all people. The idea that Donald Trump would instead choose to lash out at the pope, claim credit for his elevation, and call him ‘weak,’ is both offensive and morally repugnant. Pope Leo continues to lead by example, reaffirming that he is not afraid of the Trump administration and will continue to speak out about the values found in Scripture. I call on all Republicans to condemn Trump’s divisive words and hateful actions.

@kenmartin73 No, as a practicing Catholic, I cannot accept a pope who wants open borders and human trafficking to continue. Trump stopped the death and misery that it brought when he shut it down. It's sinful to want it back to fill the Church's coffers. x.com/ThickShelledEg…

@kenmartin73 King Obama is organizing another coup against Trump and he’s using the Pope to do it. It doesn’t get more corrupt than that.

Democrats claim that Pope Leo XIV represents everything President Trump is not an overwhelmingly popular, humble, gracious, and kind leader devoted to serving God and others without fear or favor. As Catholics, we are taught that all of us are created in the image of God. Indeed, the Pope lacks patriotism and loyalty to the American people. The papacy is an office that has been defiled by those who succeeded John Paul II, and the Vatican is plagued by corruption. I am a Christian and I am far more faithful to my Christianity than this claimant to the papacy. He is merely a left‑wing American political activist.

@kenmartin73 One should remind our meek and mild pontiff that if not for the deeds of Christian warriors like Charles Martel, King Fernando III, King John III Sobieski and Grand Master Jean Parisot de Valette, St. Peter's Basilica might well be just another Mosque in the Dar al-Islam.

🚨 Iraq has sent another convoy of militias into Iran under the cover of humanitarian aid This is not mercy or aid, but a Trojan horse. In addition to regular militia-linked convoys making free and unhindered cross-border trips, the regime is now smuggling in thousands of Hashd al-Shaabi fighters disguised as medical teams. These Iranian-backed Shia militias, known as the PMF, are the same forces who played a role in brutal crackdowns on Iranian protesters that killed over 45,000. With no meaningful border control or vetting, the Islamic Republic has deliberately allowed them in and is counting on them as another uprising begins to take shape. In the Islamic Republic, ambulances have been used to transport security forces and detain protesters, while hospitals have been stormed to target the wounded. The regime is preparing for a violent crackdown on its own people. The world must wake up and support the Iranian people before it is too late.
The Iran Watcher 🇮🇷@TheIranWatcher

🚨 A new wave of Iraqi PMF militias is pouring into Iran. Here is what it means: 1. The IRGC has taken heavy losses from weeks of US and Israeli strikes. It is weakened and stretched thin. Now these same PMF forces entering Iran are also exposed to the same drone and air strikes. 2. The regime fears unrest during the war, even if it has not started. These fighters are meant to suppress protests and control the population. 3. PMF forces are filling gaps the IRGC and army can no longer cover. They guard key areas and support security operations, they lie and say it’s “aid” but arriving armed. 4. These convoys should be targeted before entering Iranian territory, with aircraft like the A-10 designed well for this type of mission. This shows the regime cannot control or defend the country on its own anymore, and their proxy terrorist forces were always going to go down with it.

Gee, Pope Leo is a U.S. citizen with every bit as much right to speak about America as JD Vance has. That’s the First Amendment—the same one protecting convicted felon Donald Trump’s blasphemous impersonation of Jesus Christ and attacks on the Pope as “soft on crime.” The Pope has a much larger audience for his views in America (or Hungary!) than JD Vance. nytimes.com/2026/04/13/us/…

Trump’s ongoing military blockade is another page in America’s disastrous attempts to instigate regime change in Cuba. This Administration’s actions abroad are completely out of control and put innocent civilians at risk. I’m cosponsoring @NydiaVelazquez's War Powers Resolution to reestablish constitutional authority and stop yet another disastrous war initiated by Trump.

@JamesMartinSJ No I haven’t heard WHY it’s not a just war & what is the Popes alternative after dialog failed. Can we disagree with the Pope’s views on geopolitics or does that mean God won’t hear our prayers, like he said? I’m confused. Am I excommunicated?

Yes, he really said that. Yesterday Vice President JD Vance criticized Pope Leo XIV for not knowing enough theology: "I think it's very, very important for the pope to be careful when he talks about matters of theology ... If you’re going to opine on matters of theology, you’ve got to be careful, you’ve got to make sure it’s anchored in the truth," he said, at a Turning Point conference. One of the many, many, ironies about that statement is that it came in response to Pope Leo's comments about war and peace and, specifically, the concept of "just war," which originated with St. Augustine. As many have already noted, when the Vice President was making his comments, Pope Leo XIV, a member of the Augustinian Order, and twice Prior General of the Augustinians before his election as Pope, was visiting the hometown of St. Augustine, then called "Hippo," now in Annaba, a town in modern-day Algeria. For good measure, Pope Leo XIV, the man critiqued for insufficient theological education, earned not only a master's degree in divinity, but also licentiate and a doctorate in canon law from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome. JD Vance's recent conversion to Catholicism is beside the point, because many converts are of course not only highly intelligent (and learned in theology) but faithful and energetic Catholics. We rejoice over everyone entering the church. What most of us do not rejoice over, however, is a deadly combination of inaccuracy and hubris. Pace, Vice President Vance, but the current war in Iran is not a just war under Catholic doctrine. You can hear that from church leaders from across the theological spectrum, from Archbishop Timothy Broglio, the head of the military vicariate and former head of the @USCCB, to Cardinal Robert McElroy, Archbishop of Washington who holds doctorates in both theology and political science. You can look all that up online. Suffice to say, the Vice President doesn't seem to understand the tenets of just war. Nor does he seem to understand the fundamental position of the church, which is for peace. "War is always a defeat for humanity," as St. John Paul II said. If that authority isn't enough, then turn to Jesus who said, "Blessed are the peacemakers," not "Blessed are the warmongers." And after the Resurrection, the Risen Christ says to the frightened disciples not "Vengeance is mine" but "Peace be with you." Incidentally, the day before, the Vice President said that the Pope (and the Vatican) should stick to teaching about morality, also seeming to forget that war and peace are profoundly moral issues. For his part, Pope Leo was focused yesterday on his spiritual father, St. Augustine. After what seemed like an emotional visit to Hippo, he celebrated Mass at the Basilica of St. Augustine in Annaba. During his homily he said, "The primary task of pastors as ministers of the Gospel is therefore to bear witness to God before the world with one heart and one soul, not permitting our concerns to lead us astray through fear, nor trends to undermine us through compromise." Amen. Let's all continue to pray for the Holy Father as he works for peace. (Image: Pope Leo XIV prays at the archeological ruins of Hippo, home of St. Augustine, in current-day Algeria. CNS photo).

@JulieLovesFluff I did that too. For my 10 y/o son’s sports physical, the pediatrician asked me to step outside while he checked the jewels. I said no, I’d turn away. The USA gymnastics teams doc abused the girls under a towel with the parents in the room.

I took my 11 year old to her checkup this morning and the nurse asked me to step out of the room for a moment. I politely declined and she said, "It's just for a moment." And I told her, "No thank you, given all the stories about children being abused my husband and I decided to never leave our children alone with anyone, even medical providers. Anything you need to do or say you can do with me in the room." She looked all miffed and just left, no idea what her plan was but she didn't feel the need to continue it with me present and that makes me even more suspicious?? When she left my daughter thanked me for not leaving, she's already shy about the doctor, her eyes got so wide when the lady asked me to leave.
