I have watched quietly as some question why we would believe God for a $55 million cathedral without fundraising, without borrowing. Some have even mocked it, called it foolishness, and labeled us a cult. I am not going to conform to the mockery, but to a highlight something. I would understand where such reactions come from. We live in a time where manipulation is common and systems often fail, pure faith can look suspicious. But allow me to respond; not in offense, but in clarity and love. We live in a society where many of you [Kampala much], run unregistered businesses. Receipts are written on scrap paper. Taxes are evaded with a smile. And yet, we demand better roads, hospitals, schools; asking the government to build what we ourselves refuse to fund. How will the state provide when we have normalized working outside its systems? We cry for justice, but break laws in secret. We ask for transformation, but shift the entire burden to one man, one office, one seat of power; while absolving ourselves of civic and moral responsibility. And then, when the church rises [not to borrow, not to beg, but to believe], we mock it. The cathedral we so seek to build is not in competition with social development, it is the WOMB of it. From this ALTAR, men and women of vision, discipline, purpose, and integrity, are going to raise. People who will build the schools, create jobs, pay taxes, and transform systems. because their hearts have first been transformed. We are not building to impress. We are building in obedience. And yes, God will fund what He authors! No, we shall not bow to broken systems, but mend them. We shall not apologize, for our faith. We shall build, and we shall firsthand, watch God do it.
