1/ “Just put it in a TEE” sounds convincing, until you ask: where is this actually running? TEE attestations can prove what code is running and on which CPU. They don’t prove where that machine is running. That missing piece is the physical-access gap. 🧵

Ethereum and Flashbots are the most genius ideas ever The fees are baked into the mechanism And the network is more valuable as it grows So the builders can just build, never need to sell anything, it literally sells itself and auto-profits

Spent the weekend auditing TEE-based crypto projects on mainnets. It’s worse than I expected. “Remote attestation” is mostly just theatre. With one exception (Flashbots), users are being sold security properties that simply aren’t there.

If you look at the MEV market outcome: 🦄 Uniswap & TG bots won on UX + orderflow entry → same playbook for AI apps with sticky distribution 🥷 Searchers with alpha won big → this time it's fine-tuned models trained on exclusive vertical data ⚡️ The block building infra layer are commoditized with low margin → energy provider will be the proposer monopoly in AI world 🤔 curious if anyone sees anything big missing in this picture!

Insane story... Some guy tried to buy $50M of $AAVE on his phone, like 3% of the total supply, tapped through <INSANE SLIPPAGE AHEAD> warnings, ended up with only $40K of AAVE. Block builder made off with ~$40M, Aave refunds $600K of fees. Net result, AAVE token is down. 💀
