My counselor for the methadone clinic just told me on the phone that the vast majority of patients at the clinic have to show up daily to dose bc they use cannabis...she said it was easily the majority of people there just take methadone & use thc

In order to create a safety net for when some arbitrary rule is invented and my meds are withheld as punishment I have to shave a few mgs from each take home I get, which now is once a week since my “earned” take homes are revoked. Last year the staff wanted to be off on Sundays and the clinic started issuing take home doses one day a week. This immediately calls into question the merit based system because if the issue is someone’s recovery needs to be stable through an arbitrary measurement of time then there should have been a gigantic number of relapses/overdoses when the policy was implemented, there wasn’t. Could you imagine someone needing to save a few slivers of their BP meds every day in case their doc cut them off for having a hypertensive crisis?
