Fresh Air Barbecue's original 1929 Jackson, GA location, pictured in the 1950s. The signage is different now, but the gravel lot and building remain unchanged, as does our slow-smoked pork BBQ and 5th-gen Brunswick Stew recipe at all three #FreshAirBBQ locations. Stop and see us!

Georgia BBQ on my mind for stops 8 + 9: Fresh Air Barbecue in Jackson on top and DK’s Bar-B-Q in Waycross on bottom - Fresh Air (est. 1929) is widely regarded as Georgia’s best bbq and often listed among best in country. DK’s is 4th generation black owned known for pressed bbq’s.

Let’s start a thread of every food stop I make on the drive down to South Florida. Nothing like an All American roadtrip with some Roadfood to boot. Stop 1: Long’s Bakery in Indianapolis - I always try to stop at this Indy institution known for classic yeast donuts. Since 1955.
