@TTRadioOfficial Yes - no inset day. Not being able to access online info and systems until you start. More in depth handover needed. Parents evenings before you know the kids.

Have you ever moved schools in the middle of the academic year? What were the challenges you faced?

My Year 11s are preparing this week for their Non-Calculator mock examination. So I put together a little revision reminder sheet. If you want to be added to the mailing list, please retweet and DM a request. Working through the backlog of requests atm.

@DomWD1 @tombennett71 @adamboxer1 @Strickomaster Get some well levelled tasks on the board. Then stand and watch h as they all begin and get on with it for a bit. Only then start ti kering with regular checks back. It is an awful situation so you have my sympathy xx

Dealing with poor behaviour due to technology not working, prime time for students to play up and do anonymous behaviour (e.g. making silly noises when back turns etc.) Anyone have strategies for dealing with such anonymous behaviour ? @tombennett71 @adamboxer1 @Strickomaster

@EmmaDidAThing Chat to the kid and find out what is causing it then ring the parent/carer and discuss. Offer what support you can as a school. If there are no issues we sign conduct cards and after 3 signatures it is lunchtime detention.

What do you do about persistent lateness in your setting? What are the sanctions/incentives used to get pupils into school on time?

@ngeachysj @MrTs_NQTs I used to cover Y2 ppa amd they loved my lesson on life cycles. We did frog, butterfly, tree and human. They listened and watched, sorted toys and images, acted out and then did some writing. It was such fun to teach and whenever they saw me they would ask for more info

What are the 2 best products you have ever bought for yourself? For me it might just be: 1. Polarised prescription sunglasses for driving. So clear you feel like a superhero driving. 2. A slidebelt (thank you to @alomshaha for enlightening me on these). This has been amazing 🙂

Crested mynas, as many other birds, are born altricially, which means young are underdeveloped at the time of birth, therefore fed by parents. When they grow up, they have to learn that food doesn't simply jump into their beaks [📽️: Rebecca Gelernter]

@RogersHistory None, I was asked to apply and not interviewed, which made things a bit awkward between me and those who did interview. Not well handled at all.

@sarita204sharma @cogscisci @tmscienceicons @ChatPhysics I have found that lots of shared writing has helped. Kids use MWB to come up with sentences, I chose onee, the other kids try to improve it. We then write it down and start on the next sentence. The hange in the level of exam question answers has been so noticeable
