Everything you need to know about the average British voter is Ed Davey’s score.

@GyllKing @KishwerFalkner @SexMattersOrg If yiu could provide a quote from the actual judgement rather than from the losing party's website, this would be more informative. Which paragraphs should I read?

@FritzP85 @KishwerFalkner @SexMattersOrg Have you negotiated the awkward reality that the Judge rejected the GLP claim in part because they said the interim guidance proposed a ‘bathroom ban’ & Swift ruled that the EHRC was not about bathroom bans even though the EHRG guidance led to such bans? Might be tough for you.

I am tweeting for the first time since 2022 because today’s judgment was a personal vindication. I’m absolutely delighted, and grateful to the wonderful team who helped us to get this right.

@s8mb Have you taken him on the postal train at the Postal Museum? My son with a similar love of trains really enjoyed that

My son absolutely loves trains. Can’t get enough of them - his ideal afternoon is watching videos of them on TV while playing with brio trains and a Duplo train station. What are the best things to do in London with him? We’ve been to the transport museum and I’ve taken him to watch them at Denmark Hill station (where the drivers often toot their horns at him, which he loves). What else might he enjoy?

@Scott_Wortley Genuine question, but should we change the system because we don’t like the result? If the answer is yes, then should we change FPTP and what should we change both systems to?

@benjamin_harrop Given redacted material (which I understand the need for), how do you work out whether the material needed to be redacted to prevent identification, or has just been redacted for the sake of obfuscation?

Since this thing has been doing the rounds: It's obviously silly, because what kids mainly cost you is time, not cash. What these lads mean is that they can't have kids while they both work jobs that keep them in the office till 6pm or 7pm every night. It's time, not money.

🗣️ 'We felt we had done everything right in life' Max Griffiths and wife Nicole – both work in the tech sector on salaries of £125,000 and around £100,000 respectively – have fallen victim to the cliff-edge tax that's forcing middle-class families to take desperate measures. @HarksenNiels @Jordan_W_Taylor That's my hope as well, but in environments where we need things to be kick started financially, we need to get buy in on all merits. High temperatures also introduce fun with materials as we found on AGRs in the UK, though I'd hope we've moved on a bit now!

@FritzP85 @Jordan_W_Taylor My expectation (and hope) is that some breeder reactors like LFRs will be worth it economically on their own merit die to higher thermal efficiency and simplifications of safety systems, with breeding as a bonus.

I'm currently deep-diving the gas cooled fast reactor, where Eastern Europe leads development, and wow! Closed fuel cycle, mad high temperatures, helium cooling, ceramic matrix composite fuel cladding, Brayton cycle generation and minimal thermal inertia. What could go wrong?

@Jordan_W_Taylor @HarksenNiels But this is the endless issue. When world uranium prices rise, so does interest in fast reactors. When the uranium price falls, interest in fast reactors drops too. A shame as closing the nuclear fuel cycle would be highly beneficial

@HarksenNiels I'm having a hard time figuring it out. All I can think of is a scenario where high temperature hydrogen generation (for zero carbon or circular economies) is in demand, combined with a global shortfall of Uranium fuel. Basically a fortress-mentality reactor: A bit too niche.

For those deliberately misleading people tonight that a Trump retweet means he is souring on Putin, please cast your mind back almost a year ago to this Trump tweet threatening Putin. It’s a regular tactic Trump used to trick fools. There are sadly lots of them.

@RealDianeYap Probably, because diaper/ nappy changing is by far the easiest bit. It only gets tricky when they're at that special age where they can pressure-hose the poo up their own backs at 3am.

When these men say “I’d do anything for my kids” they mean [thing I will never have to do] and never [tedious chore that has to be done multiple times every day]. Yeah, he’ll nuke a continent, but will he change all the dirty diapers?
christoph@Halalcoholism

I knew a guy whose kids were removed from his care, who said to me, “I’d do anything for my kids. I’d kill for my kids.” He seemed to think this would reassure me he was a good parent, as opposed to someone who felt compelled to advertise a willingness to commit acts of violence.
