@moseskagan Alex Karp makes the very good point that if the left doesn't care about issues like spending government money wisely then the public will look to the right to do it. Beyond being the ethical thing to do, it's usually good politics as well.

Recognize grousing about local government expenditures is pretty conservatve-coded. But I want to remind everyone liberals and progressives *also* have a strong interest in assuring that every $1 of government spending does as much good as it possibly can.

There’s an endless sprawl of failed neighborhoods here in Arizona that nobody who would qualify for a mortgage would choose to live in vs. a better apartment in a safe / nice area. When 100% of the buyer pool in an area is slumlords, homeownership rates in that area are inevitably gonna fall. One of the reasons I’m building a local political org & getting into RE investing / development.

Most of what's wrong w America could be solved by making it possible for normal, reasonably hard-working people to purchase a home.

@KnoxEndemic Depends on volume / total heat it needs to release. If it heats up the fridge too much it can be an issue
